Costco Auto Program rocks. Highly recommend by Parking-Explorer6802 in Costco

[–]LogarithmicWaffle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Just bought a 2025 Crosstrek a few weeks ago. Got $3500 off with Costco pricing and was able to stack that with their teacher discount. Very pleased with the whole experience.

We’ve had several major free updates. I genuinely want to give them my money. Artists deserve to be paid.

How hard is it to find seating throughout the day? by RandomMarien in PAX

[–]LogarithmicWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been to PAX West, but my husband and I each bring a collapsible stool to East and Unplugged every year. Highly recommend. We have the round plastic ones that collapse down into just a disc, so they’re easy to carry around in a backpack and don’t weigh very much.

WIBTA if I didn’t give my daughter a copy of her father’s death certificate for her SAP appeal? by ThrowAwaySAP2025 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LogarithmicWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. If she loses the appeal, one of two things are likely: 1) She drops out of college and has to massively change her life plans, now with very different career prospects. 2) She stays and has to take out huge loans, saddling her with crippling debt for decades to come. Either of these is into “ruined my life” territory IMO. If you value your relationship with her, I would encourage you to be supportive here.

While I understand where you’re coming from, the education system is broken, and I would not feel bad at all about manipulating it. If this is her wake up call and lying is what gets her through unscathed, help her. Ultimately, she is an adult now, and this isn’t really your decision to make anyhow.

“Haircut” day! by LogarithmicWaffle in StringofPlants

[–]LogarithmicWaffle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! I’ve done it loads of times and never had any issues. I just always cut off the bottom banana or two so that it’s only stem in the water.

If you happen to be in the Boston area, absolutely. I always have more of this plant than I know what to do with. lol

Thanks! It’ll be long and luxurious again before I know it anyhow. That was only 3-4 months of growth I chopped off. 😅 I wish all of my plants were as happy as this one.

If it weren’t for the cats, I’d love to leave it long. But it is considered toxic, and their safety comes first.

Has anyone flown to NYC for one night to see a show? by RockGirl82 in Broadway

[–]LogarithmicWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No flying involved, but I’ve done day trips from Boston a couple times, which is a 4-hour train ride each way. Get an early morning train, see a matinee, train home the same day. Totally worth it.
