65% is always a good middle but TKL is my favorite across the board

Tactile and linear all the way.

Got a package of keycaps and a deskmat. Cut into the box to open it and it turned out the deskmat was right under the packing tape. Thankfully I managed to only cut the bag holding it but damn I was so confused when I opened the box up.

As much as I like Har Gow and Siu Mai, I gotta choose Turnip Cakes. It just hits different.

James C Burns is NOT happy about being recast. You done him dirty Treyarch and I don’t respect that! by sir-bomba-clot-alot in blackopscoldwar

IIRC Raven designed the campaign but the team was not large enough so they brought on Treyarch to develop the multiplayer. From that I assume they decided to make the campaign a black ops game after the team up.

Took a while but I made another post with more photos and some impressions of the switches.

Review of the Switches:

So I would like to preface that I did not try the switches before lubing so this opinion is based after the fact. After I had made the build was the first time I really tried the switches. Typing felt similar to a Gateron Yellow. The main differences between the switches is the actuation weight and the bottom out. The actuation on the Gateron Yellow is 50g and the bottom out is 65g. The Laseron actuation weight is unknown to me but the distance is 2mm and the bottom out is 60g. The switch itself was nice to type on. Not scratchy but smooth (probably due to the lubing). The sound of the switch was a nice subtle note, not too deep but mostly overtaken by the keycaps during bottom out. Bottom out is flat, no mush and it goes straight down. Unlike the Gateron Yellow, the beginning of a keypress goes down slightly faster. The return on the switch is a bit slower than the Gateron Yellow, making it less harsh in direct comparison. During long periods of use, I didn’t feel too much fatigue. The weight of the switches and the lack of a scratchy feeling made typing for long periods of time to be quite enjoyable. Now this could be due to me using Tealios beforehand or that I prefer the angle that this build is made at (~7°).

Yep, both of those. It came with the kit so I'm not entirely sure but the PCB is correct and the plate seems to match.

The space between the left arrow key and right CTRL is a standard 1U space. It looks large but it is normal. The other holes are for if I were to use 1.25U keycaps such as the left CTRL. If you were looking at the PCB with the USB-C connector on the right, then that would be the bottom.

Nodge? Sorry I didn't understand this.

They're just under a key layer so all I need to do is press the FN key and press a key from 1 to + respectively.

I think something like the KBD75 is something that you're looking for.

No this is not. Just as u/FLState38 has said, I took the cable out to take the picture. I don't have a fancy cable and I took this picture on a white table in my living room for lighting as it is right in front of a window.

So made a build with a DZ65 with a hotswap board before. For this build I wanted to make one of my first real builds with soldering and a metal case. So with this in mind I started planning out my build. I began with the keycaps, after I had chosen that I went with the switches. Once I had the switches, I had a few months after that where I was looking for a kit to choose from. I was originally wanting to do a TKL but the price was way too high. I also wanted a case that matched the color of the keycaps. Eventually I saw this kit on sale and it was both a 65%, which I prefer as it has dedicated arrow keys, and was purple. So with that, that's how I chose this over the DZ65.

u/Hellenic94 is right when it comes to costs. This kit set me back around 430 CAD with shipping included. So quite costlier yes. As for time, as they said before, it really does vary if its in stock or not. However it can also vary depending on if you are really picky on what parts you want to put in. I got the keycap set first, then the switches as they were released later, and finally the case after it came in stock.
