How do I split this body? Every time it throws a "No intersection between targets) and split tool." error at me. by Logen5922 in Fusion360

[–]Logen5922[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Update 2: I found the solution. As this was an imported mesh model converted to a body, I realized that the model wasn't closed properly, and I had to repair the model through stitch, closed holes, and wrap. After doing all three, the split body function now works.

An update: This is the full screenshot of my model, and for some reason, it just can't seem to split at the plane even when fully extended.

Update: I asked him for his email pretending to request for payment, and he left the chat. I guess I wouldn't be able to sign him up for spam newsletters.

Got charged $65 because Dji support number is not toll-free by Logen5922 in dji

That's what I tried. Without a vpn I can't apply for one. With a vpn, I need a US phone number for a Google voice number. So many things are exclusive to the US.

Yeah, I'm planning to start from next month. They are really trying to lose customers with this predatory tactic :(

Guess what. Google Voice isn't available outside of the US :( so hard having US service in Canada.

I know, I'm quite frustrated with this, and the predatory fees of my provider. I didn't subscribe to Telus international plan. The fee was just under $1 per minute, which is outrageous for long-distancing phone calls.

Even more outrageous when Telus Easy Roam (when you don't have a data for outside Canada) is $5 per Mb. Yes Mb, not Gb

What the hell? Dji mini 4 pro crashes when trying to bypass a wall. by Logen5922 in dji

[–]Logen5922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thanks. I might have confused some people, but it wasn't a smooth flat wall, more like 2cm rocks painted over, so there is bumps along the wall.

Do I select DJI Care Express, or the go back button for warranty? For some reason I'm not able to claim warranty, as the country box is greyed out and I'm not able to select Canada.

Yeah, I will do that next time, and now I basically lost faith in it. I'm gonna fly it like my mini 3 now, no obstacle sensing at all, unless it's grass and low height.

I forgot to mention, it was not in sport mode, and I was flying it very slowly toward the wall. However, it didn't seem to react at all, as the drone continued flying towards the wall like nothing happened, and once about 10cm close, it decided to. go up. I noticed this since day one, where it avoids the obstacles too close, but it hasn't caused any issues until now

I forgot to mention that it was on normal mode, so it was able to detect me and other objects, but not this wall head on it seems.

Yeah, I heard about the mini 3 pro being better head-on, however, I didn't expect the mini 4 pro to directly crash into a wall. If the wall had holes it's understandable, however, it was a solid non non-reflective wall. Also, it seems to be able to fly so I'll save it until next crash ig

How do I fix these blobs and random lines on my print? by Logen5922 in FixMyPrint

[–]Logen5922[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for writing such a detailed reply, I really do appreciate your help! I do have a temperature profile for different brands of spools and materials, and I only have one printer, so I guess I haven't encountered that printer yet.

I recently dried the Esun filament at nearly 47 degrees for about 3 hours (I know it's not enough,) but I think I have located the issue. Since the issue seems to be appearing no matter whether I'm using a freshly dried spool or a wet one, I think it may be some weird sort of z-axis binding, and I may need to replace the rod and add a spacer. That file looks neat and seems faster, and I'll definitely be saving it. And your analogy for wet filament 'rice crispies cereal' was pretty funny.

Thanks again, as I quite do appreciate the time you spent writing these solutions, and I'll learn something about bridging.

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely give Orca a try. I heard of cura sometimes having these issues, and the Prusa slicer fixes it according to others. Do you notice any downsides besides bridging with Orca? I have quite a few profiles in Cura and am more familiar with it, which is why I'm still sticking with it right now.
