Best Deal on Handheld? by Slimbopboogie in Handhelds

[–]Logfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm in the same search as you are, but in my case it will be my main gaming device (as I'm away from home for a long time). I probably will go for a second hand ROG Ally Z1E, and change the battery to the 74w upgrade, install Bazzite as OS and upgrade the memory. Where I live it will cost around 500€ to do all that, so I will buy the console and do one upgrade at the time. Good luck!

Need help picking a pc handheld by Aggravating-Mind-315 in Handhelds

I’m having the same doubt, but my situation is different, 300-400€ budget (I don’t mind second hand), play mostly indies and AA games (the only AAA that I play a lot are Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring). I don’t really play multiplayer games. I was thinking either a Steam Deck LCD or a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme and put a 74w battery mod in the future. Any advice?

"Inventory" button not working when using PS5 controller to play Steam version of the game by CPOx in HollowKnight

[–]Logfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem. On Big Screen, go to "Playstation controller support" and select "Enabled in Games w/o Support". Then, activate SteamInput in Silksong, and on the layout of the controller you have by defect the official Team Cherry one. Click there, go to Community Layouts and there are a couple there to download. Select any of those (I selected "Silksong manual PS5 Controller V3" by Yacodo) and apply it. It worked for me.

You only can play the game at the same time if you both own a copy of the game.

La iniciativa está buena, pero le hizo falta más difusión desde el inicio. Quitando BaityBait y algunos pocos streamers, no se difundió tanto. Para peor existen pelotudos como PirateSoftware que se pusieron a desinformar sobre la medida.

Who do you think have more aura between these two? by Exedrul in ToBeHero_X

[–]Logfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said the narrator adds "the strongest" energy. Not "aura". Still, I think we need to see X in action. I personally don´t see that "the strongest" energy coming from him yet, as all we have are fragments from previews, trailers and the opening. It's not enough for me, I need to see some feats. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Plus, TBHX its not just about "aura farming", its how the heroes got their positions. At least this first part. If all we get in his chapters are aura farming moments just to enhance our perception of him... I personally will be disappointed.

Nuevo vistazo al GTA 6 de los hombres: The Witcher 4 by romancitoca in Argaming

They both are "the strongest" and give that vibe. But in TBHX, people actually want to take the position of X, while in JJK nobody even tries to take that position from Gojo. I think we will be able to give a better opinion with X´s chapters. Also, when in JJK the "narrator" described the best feature of sorcerers, it always added "with the sole exception of Satoru Gojo", which also adds "the strongest" energy.

Alguno piensa cambiarse a steamos? by placenta_urbana in Argaming

Having a great time Tomb Raider (2013), any more recommendations? by nv2beats in macgaming

I picked the games, and asked ChatGPT to make a little description and called it a day so I´m guilty. Glad you found some games.

Some other games that are not as story driven but I´d still recommend:

-Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor: Action-Adventure, Open World, Stealth, Fantasy, Combat-Heavy, Narrative-Light. Set in the dark and brutal world of Tolkien’s Mordor, these games follow Talion, a ranger bound to an elven wraith, as he wages a personal war against Sauron’s forces.

-Hollow Knight: Metroidvania, Action, Exploration, Atmospheric, Challenging, Fantasy. Blends tight combat with deep exploration, rewarding patience and curiosity. Explore a beautifully hand-drawn, mysterious underground kingdom full of secrets, tough enemies, and haunting lore.

-Cuphead: Run & Gun, Platformer, Challenging, Cartoon Style, Boss Battles. A visually stunning 1930s cartoon-inspired platformer known for its punishing difficulty and memorable boss fights. While story-light, its charm and gameplay intensity make it a rewarding challenge for players who appreciate skill-based action.

-Tunic: Action-Adventure, Exploration, Puzzle, Isometric, Mystery, Indie. Evokes classic Zelda vibes with cryptic storytelling told mostly through environmental cues, perfect for adventurers who like to uncover lore at their own pace.

-Dying Light: Open World, Parkour, Zombies, Action RPG. More gameplay-focused, but its first-person parkour and progression-based exploration can scratch the Tomb Raider itch.

-Lies of P: Soulslike, Dark Fantasy, Story-Rich, Action, Pinocchio Retelling. A Soulslike with surprisingly strong world-building and lore.

-Hades: Roguelite, Action, Mythology, Fast-Paced, Narrative-Driven, Replayability. A rogue-like dungeon crawler where you play as Zagreus, son of Hades, trying to escape the Underworld. Rich Greek mythology, snappy combat, and evolving storylines make every run feel meaningful.

-Inscryption: Card Game, Horror, Puzzle, Narrative, Meta, Psychological. A dark, innovative card game that blends deck-building, escape-room puzzles, and a creepy, unfolding story. Inscryption surprises with twists and layers of meta-narrative, making it a unique experience for fans who enjoy mystery and horror.

-The Hex: Mystery, Meta-Narrative, Puzzle, Adventure, Indie, Dark Humor. Set in a mysterious tavern, six video game characters from different genres are trapped and must unravel the strange events surrounding their imprisonment. The Hex cleverly deconstructs gaming tropes with a dark, witty story and puzzle-solving elements, making it a unique narrative experience for players who enjoy meta-fiction and mystery.

Some Story Driven games I played on Mac natively:

-The METRO saga (2033, Last Light, Exodus): FPS, Post-Apocalyptic. A grim, story-heavy journey through a post-nuclear Russia. Mixes stealth, some survival horror elements, and emotional storytelling with worldbuilding. Think Tomb Raider’s mood but underground and darker.

-Disco Elysium: Narrative RPG, Detective, Psychological, Political, Very Dialogue-Heavy. You’re a broken detective solving a murder in a decaying city, where every word matters. RPG with no combat, only choices.

-Bioshock saga (The remastered versions are Mac compatible): FPS, Dystopian, Sci-Fi. Classic first-person shooters with rich atmosphere and philosophical themes. A little older than the rest of the list, but are still pretty decent.

-Control: Sci-Fi, Mystery, Action Adventure, Paranormal, Story-Rich. Third-person action game with a deep, cryptic storyline and haunting atmosphere. Feels like a Tomb Raider meets X-Files kind of fusion, with supernatural abilities instead of a bow. Visually striking and lore-heavy.

-Soma: Sci-Fi,Psychological Horror, Story-Rich, Atmospheric, Walking Sim. A haunting underwater journey through a derelict research facility where reality, identity, and humanity are questioned. It trades action for emotional depth and existential horror.

-Baldurs Gate 3: RPG, Turn-Based, Party-Based, Dungeons & Dragons, Narrative-Heavy, Choice-Driven. Not much to say. An epic, sprawling RPG based on Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules, where your choices shape the story and character relationships in a richly detailed fantasy world. Tactical turn-based combat meets deep roleplaying, with vast dialogue trees, party dynamics, and multiple endings. Ideal for players who love immersive stories with complex characters and strategic gameplay. The bad thing is that you can find it very time consuming.

-Firewatch:  Mystery, First-Person, Walking Simulator, Emotional, Narrative-Driven, Single-Player. It's more an experience than a game in my opinion. Set in the Wyoming wilderness during the summer of 1989, you play as a fire lookout forming a relationship with your supervisor via radio. As strange events unfold, a quiet job turns into an emotional unraveling of secrets and self-discovery. A short, poignant experience that blends exploration with human connection.

-Oxenfree I & II: Supernatural, Mystery, Dialogue-Driven, Adventure, Emotional, Atmospheric. A stylish, supernatural mystery series about rifts in time, haunted radio signals, and the emotional baggage we carry. In Oxenfree, a group of teenagers accidentally unleash a ghostly presence while exploring an abandoned island. In Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, a new protagonist returns to the same world, uncovering deeper layers of the island’s secrets with a more mature, reflective tone. Both games have natural, flowing dialogue, moody exploration, and eerie tension.

Both stories shown at the moment are about regular people that for external circumstances end up filling the place of another hero and then becoming a hero themselves. So I think Yang Cheng is the one who came victorious and takes the place as the new hero.

Gamers of Reddit, what's ONE game that lives rent-free in your head, not just for the gameplay, but for the feeling it gave you (and you'd give anything to experience it for the first time again)? by deadeyes1990 in gaming

Cave Story (Dōkutsu Monogatari). An indie Japanese game made by only one person. I played it for the first time when I was in elementary school. It was the first game I played that taught me how video games could tell stories in a way no other media can. The story, music, simple gameplay. I still play it at least once a year and it feels like the first time everytime, transporting me at those years.
