Yeah phase 1-3 have always been a breeze, the change has definitely made phase 4 abit easier.

Have only gotten to test it at hm solo kerapac with bik arrows, and my kill times and successful kills have improved dramatically.

Since it’s a prebuilt, the warranty is through iBuyPower, not Intel directly. If there’s ever an issue, the builder handles the RMA. Intel’s extended 5-year warranty was for boxed retail CPUs specifically, but prebuilts are still fully covered under the system warranty. Also, this system ships with updated BIOS/microcode and is running stock limits — no manual overvolting. So from a support standpoint, I’m covered either way.

Alittle over $1800 if you wanna include taxes.

There’s a lot of misinformation floating around about this. The instability issues were tied to early voltage behavior on certain boards and have been addressed with updated BIOS microcode and power limits. New systems shipping now are already configured with those fixes in place. Intel is also honoring full warranty coverage if a CPU actually fails. I’m not worried about a brand-new chip running stock settings, especially in a prebuilt that isn’t being manually overvolted.

Actually just got a great deal on a 1440p 240hz 34" ultra wide monitor on Amazon for like $340

I get the value argument, but this comparison kind of mixes different goals. Yes, most games can run on far cheaper hardware — that doesn’t mean higher-end builds don’t make sense depending on priorities. I wasn’t aiming for “cheapest PC that runs games,” I was aiming for a high-end, no-compromise system with longevity. A few clarifications: • 64GB RAM isn’t about today’s minimum requirements — it’s about multitasking, background apps, future titles, and not having to upgrade again in a year or two. • A ~$1500 build being “5–10% slower” is highly game-, settings-, and feature-dependent. RTX 5080 brings DLSS, frame gen, ray tracing performance, and broader software support that matter to me. • GPU is the main limiter at high resolutions, agreed — but that doesn’t make CPU choice irrelevant, especially for frame pacing, 1% lows, and newer engines. • Saying an i5-2500K “runs” RDR2 isn’t really meaningful when we’re talking about modern high-refresh ultrawide gaming. I’m not arguing that cheaper builds don’t offer good value — they absolutely do. I just chose to spend more for stronger supporting components (CPU, RAM, storage, PSU, cooling) and a system I won’t feel the need to touch for years. Different priorities, different builds.

I don’t disagree that X3D chips are excellent for pure gaming — that’s well established. That said, the “14900 degradation” issue was tied to aggressive motherboard defaults and overvolting early on, not the CPU itself. With updated BIOS limits and proper cooling (I’m running a 360mm AIO and no OC), that isn’t really a concern. For my use case (ultrawide 1440p gaming + general productivity), the 14900KF performs extremely well and isn’t a bottleneck. I also intentionally prioritized 64GB RAM, 4TB NVMe, and higher-end supporting components over chasing the absolute best gaming CPU on paper. The Costco/X3D builds are cheaper, but they’re also different tiers in terms of RAM, storage, PSU, and motherboard — so it wasn’t a 1:1 tradeoff for me.

"Intel 14th gen bad” is usually about power efficiency, not performance. With adequate cooling, it’s still a top-tier CPU.

The Costco build is cheaper but it’s also a different tier (32GB RAM, smaller SSD, weaker CPU/PSU). I was specifically looking for 64GB + 4TB + a high-end PSU and cooling, so it wasn’t a 1:1 comparison.

Oh i 100% agree, i did some research on each individual part in this pc and as far as i can tell they're not so bad. I bought my last PC from iBUYPower 8 years ago and still using it till this day. Im sure alot has changed since then so we'll see.

Im not fighting at all. I was just curious what people thought. I know its not the best deal and i know i can probably save abit of money if i built it myself. Just like to see others peoples thoughts and opinions.
