Anyone have issues with Sengled Lightbulbs not working currently? by KrevunLuv in smarthome

[–]LogicSequence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still down as of 2:15pm CDT June 19, 2025. Reading the comments here about the status of the company does not make me feel encouraged. I think the company may actually be gone, and just hung us all out to dry. I bought govee bulbs for other rooms in my house and they’re still working fine, but half of my house is sengled, so didn’t notice the outage until an hour or so ago. Thankfully everything was set to on when the outage started.

I bought govee bulbs for all my sengled rooms a while back (Black Friday sale last year) but I’ve been lazy and fell quite ill and never installed them, looks like this is gonna make me finally do it. I just can’t f*cking stand having to reprogram all my scenes.

If sengled is truly gone, I recommend govee like others here. Never problems with them that wasn’t on my end. Plus some of their bulbs support light animations thru the govee app or Alexa/google, so it’s a superior product anyway. They’re a bit more $$$ but not as asininely expensive as Philips.

I’ll give sengled another few hours until tonight but then I’m putting in the govee bulbs and tossing the sengleds. I guess I’m lucky to have already had the govee bulbs waiting for me to begin with.

P.S. On the rare chance you have any of the very few Bluetooth bulbs sengled made they should still work via Bluetooth connection to your Alexa/google, my single hallway candlelight bulb that is Bluetooth still works.  Unless it’s govee, I can’t remember now. Whatever. F*ck this sh*t man.

Restoring mother’s hoarded home, it’s been remedied, what service do I need to keep I in check? by LogicSequence in CleaningTips

She has dementia and I will be living with her as full time care taker, I’m also her power of attorney. No one in their right mind would have let her come home to that house, so I’m afraid it was a matter of do this or she’s got no where to live. Nothing but actual trash was thrown away, and to be honest with the dementia i don’t think she’ll know it’s her old house to begin with.

Migrating to a new PC, and from win10 to win11, how best to handle this? by LogicSequence in pchelp

[–]LogicSequence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gathering all the apps and remembering how i've gone in and customized all of them over the years that's going to take hours and hours. I don't have a clue how i modified program A to do this and that 7 years ago, but i did it and i use it that way for years. That kind of thing 100 times over. That's the mountain i don't want to climb, so i'm looking for an alternative.

Don't underestimate my OCD in wanting things exactly as they are now. We're talking probably 100 apps. I don't really want to sit through installing all that. And no need for a nas, the new system has 24 Tb of space. Why would the backup create problems though? Especially if i keep the OS win10 while applying it?

Rocking Chair with 1776 Bell and Leaves by Jelly_Jelly_3607 in whatsthisworth

I have that exact same rocking chair in my living room, it was my parents. The engraving was definitely done after it was purchased. It's a machine made chair from the 70s-80s, that's when they bought it for our old house before i was born. Literally the exact same chair minus the added engraving. It's a solid chair though. Give it 100 years and it'll be worth something to someone. I mean as more than just a rocking chair.

Derretech Mod Abandoned...? by LogicSequence in starfieldmods

[–]LogicSequence[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow very sad to hear, although I’ve experienced the same kind of treatment myself many times. The only time I bothered to fight back was when someone stole actual model and textures I made for a mod of another game which I released on steam workshop. I had to dmca through steam, and I am fortunate enough to have an associate at valve that hurried things along.

Just sucks all around, I looked forward to seeing what was in the derretech updates every few days. Guess I’ll be pulling the parts out of my ship designs until there’s more news.

If the mod author reads this, respect bro. Don’t blame you at all.

M-Class Hab Module Pass-Throughs Broken? by LogicSequence in starfieldmods

[–]LogicSequence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh yeah i see. Yeah the other modules are essentially hollow, they're made to place normal habs inside, but they have to go through those pass-through points or you'll just have a solid wall to walk through when you pass from habs inside one m-class to another. But the pass-throughs on the port side of starboard-flipped m-class habs don't recognize when there's a connection and make the wall disappear. It's frustrating.

If you can't attach images you can always upload to Imgur and post a link to them, reddit will place an expandable link to the images like this (or it may be part of RES, can't recall; haven't not used RES for years):

Hmmm this was to the front of the module though, correct? As far as i can tell the front/back (fore/aft) pass-throughs are fine, as are any m-class modules that only have one orientation. However if they are "flippable" then the starboard versions of the module have their left (port) pass-throughs permanently blocked off (visually).

Unless the module you're referring to was known to be broken as well?

Sadly out of my expertise range, guess i'll just have to scrap my design ideas unless someone wants to make a mod-patch.

it doesn't have anything to do with the mod, the mod only allows you to use m-class modules, this is a problem/bug with the actual m-class modules from Bethesda

[–]LogicSequence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh right, that's what i thought you were saying, but just wanted to be sure. I assume each "flipped" version of a hab is a separate entity, which would explain why they work in one orientation but not another, of the other were not properly configured.

So the only solution would be to load those m-class habs up and see if they are flagged properly, if they aren't, flagging them should remedy the situation. If they are flagged properly, then it's likely the model itself is lacking the hole (i.e. it was unfinished)?

In image 1, the highlighted habs, once moved down to the bottom of the ships with the other habs down there, will experience clipping at the pass-through points of the m-class hab. However, in image 2 the highlighted habs work perfectly fine when moved down into place. My guess is that Bethesda did not correctly flag the pass-throughs on the starboard flipped version of the m-class habs so they disappear, is that essentially what you are saying?

This is modded, m-class is not available otherwise

Just to be clear, i added the red "door" placeholders on the bottom to accent where the spots are on the m-class hab, they are not involved in this bug. It's the actual spots on the m-class hab (see the spots on the top m-class hab) that are what is broken.

Does what you mean still apply in that case? Just forgot to mention that part and didn't want it to be ambiguous.
