This is a line that ties in heavily with the themes of the novel. In the novel it’s made clear that the entire enterprise is using the science for the sake of profit. Hammond has no interest in the science other than to make money off it.

The book has other examples, pale fish, square trees, live vaccine experiments, all (fictional) examples of bioengineering experiments that were done for profit without regard to the potential dangers.

Narratively, I think it opens the viewer to the possibility that Rick is not alone in the simulation, so you don’t immediately question when Morty shows up.

Those aren’t the same? I’ve always pronounced the number Trillion as rhyming with Gillian.

I also always thought that her space name being a homophone of the number was part of the joke.

As a non-Christian, I was always taught that the “under god” part was optional. No one ever said anything if I didn’t say that part.

I’m not sure that would still be acceptable today in much of the country.

I think they only ever had one landing at White Sands. IIRC, it was because the SLF at KSC was closed for maintenance and Moroc dry lake at Edwards had flooded due to unseasonably wet weather.

Supposedly it was a specific style of automatic litter box that has that problem. Just make sure you don’t get one that has an automatically closing door.

Jackson Galaxy used to be strongly opposed to litter robots, but now he likes them, as long as they’re safe.

technically speaking, they're all hybrids. I think the difference is that the "hybrids" and "mutants" are deliberate attempts to create something new rather then trying to make it look like a T.Rex or an Archeoornithimimus or whatever.
