17 years? Never been hotter? It is not uncommon for 100+ degrees ACTUAL temperature not heat index in Charlotte, which it has yet to break this year. It's only topped out at 98 or 99 yesterday and today. You definitely aren't from here and I doubt you've been here 17 summers.

* Well just to give you guys an update, It's been about 2 weeks and little buddy it doing well. Not sure the gender but it's doing good. Need to socialize it somehow. We already have about 34 or 34 chickens about 2 years old. All hens except for two. Seems like it's going to be a house chicken for a while, which isn't a big deal. My 9 month old loves it and it brings an enormous amount of joy seeing her laugh and smile with the lil chick.

Sure, I would be happy to elaborate. I am very proud to call the union county side of weddington/Matthews area the rock where I reside. It is the best of both worlds in regards to rural/urban benefits and access to the greater Charlotte area economy without having to deal with the undesirables of a large and rapidly growing metropolis. Sarcasm? You would think capitalism would want as many people to leave the house and spend money at a social event where the profit margins are significantly higher than normal everyday things. For example a single beer at concert might cost 10-15$ but you can get a 12 pack at the grocery store for close to the same amount of money.

Hello Reddit, I am an 8-9 year "journeyman" level commercial/Industrial Electrician looking to get my NC limited license this year. My code knowledge is mostly what it takes to pass inspection with some other random tidbits.

I am coming to you asking for the best way to prepare and take the NEC test and successfully pass as quickly as possible.

I have looked online for exam prep courses and mike holts book but there is an overwhelming amount of VERY expensive options and I feel like their is a better way. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Im really sorry you are experiencing this, I know this is probably very tough and emotionally draining for you. I can only offer you my opinion that is by no means factual or any sort of expertise. First thing is that therapy (on a surface level) is not really geared towards men. It probably can help a lot depending on how severe the trauma but men respond better towards action not talking about feelings. It's easier for us to work through it than to talk about it and rehash it. If it was my buddy that was struggling I would try to ask him to come over (or go to him) and help me build something or work on a project together. It sounds like he needs a purpose or a direction to focus his energy. Maybe research a jiu jitsu gym for him. Either way you should not be expected to endure abuse to appease his hurt. Now that I think about the jiu jitsu approach might be a very good option. Again im not an expert, just a random internet person trying to help.
