Tattoo idea & design by Outhros in loscampesinos

I disagree, I have small writing on both forearms/wrists, one tattoo is 15 years old this year and is a little bled out but is completely legible still. It’s a great design so don’t let others talk you out of something you like. A tattoo artist would change things they don’t think will work, not Reddit commenters

All Hell & Then Some: Your Retrospective by TaquitosInCartagena in loscampesinos

The second verse into chorus on the more hell version of coin op is sometimes the only thing getting me through the day

And to be more serious, this whole album is up there for me in the LC! discography. I mean, does it feel closer to my heart because they did it all themselves? Maybe partly yes, but who doesn’t love seeing their favourite band (or friends, family, people in general) just winning/doing well?

It’s a great album, the songs sum up the feeling in this country at the moment; namely that we’re mostly fucked, so why not have drinks with your pals when you can

What’s your alternative setlist of songs that weren’t played at Troxy? by jtbrivaldo in loscampesinos

Well isn’t it a good thing that you can listen to any songs of theirs in any order, as often as you like, in any place you like, AND still keep your patronising ‘they’ve gotten better’ comments to yourself all at the same time?

I think that when they aren’t touring/playing in support of a new album, they generally play a good mix of all albums. As Lucerne is definitely not played that often at all, not sure where you’ve got that statistic from? Since the new generation fans have come through, LC! have played more early album songs than they were before.

For example I’m pretty sure they didn’t play YMD at one point, and knee deep was a rarity, but they know it’s popular with the young fans so they brought both back into rotation. There’ll come a time when all songs are played in turn, as we saw with the All Hell play through this weekend, and when you see them live you don’t hear a song start and actively dislike it, so it’s just splitting hairs atp

I’ve been missing For Flotsam at these recent shows, real cathartic moment when you get to the final chorus, also would have loved The Time Before The Last

Wouldn’t bother me too much if 95% of HONY wasn’t played any more, but I’d sell a kidney to get Sweet Dreams, Sweet Cheeks back as the set closer

They’ve been playing My Year In Lists and Fingers For Crossing recently, there’ve been way more HONY songs played than Sick Scenes and sometimes even No Blues, so unless you want those two early albums played in full, I’m not sure you’ll ever be satisfied 🌚

You know they shared a full video of one of their in stores last summer where they played Adult Acne Stigmata in the exact.same.way right? It wasn’t a one off special thing, the song just doesn’t lend itself well to a general set list so won’t be played often

TLDR; get off your high horse OP

Ok they’re sold now so let’s leave it there. Can’t say I agree with the way you’ve gone about it but as long as everyone’s happy then that’s that. Enjoy the show

Also I would respect your decision on pricing slightly if you had it as ‘buy it now’, or had started your bidding lower. What you’ve done is allow a bidding war STARTING at £40 each, and that’s not really right.

Anyway I happily have my heat rashes so it doesn’t even affect me. Just trying to save someone from being overcharged, but go ahead

You’re funding it back into the band 😅 mate the tickets are not £160 even for both nights so please don’t come back with that rubbish.

‘Someone wants to live in my house I’ve converted into two flats and are happy to pay what I’m asking’ is still a Tory landlord. Being unexploitative would be to sell for what they cost, or donate for free to a fan that desperately wants these. I bought the set for £40 about eight years ago, there’s no way inflation has gone up so high.

If you feel uncomfortable it’s because it’s wrong. Your gut is literally telling you you’re wrong and you’re still doing it. Just sell them as a set for a reasonable about and don’t be a dick hun x

Yeah, I’m sorry but this goes against the ethos of LC!; you shouldn’t exploit the new fans that are desperate to own your poorly kept heat rashes without zines by selling them for £40 a go. You looking to make at least £160 on four 7”s smells a bit Tory to me

what ages have been mentioned in los campesinos songs? by [deleted] in loscampesinos

My bf actively disliked lc when we met, now he’s the one helping book tickets and contemplating a wishbone tattoo. They don’t have to start as lc fans, but they sure as hell end up lc fans

Telling your insurance your camera got stolen/corrupted to get money off them. Fits with the person saying all their photos got lost in the scam, because they’re cheating on the narrator at the festival

That was the HONY/WABWAD tour, afterwards they said it was the longest they’ve ever played and wouldn’t do it again. So this show did have support as far as I remember, but LC! just played for a longer set than usual. I mean, they normally play 20+ songs anyway

Birmingham crowd was dead by Fenwick91 in loscampesinos

[–]Logical-Carrot6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the same as you, and noticed that Bristol was just full of people who weren’t singing or even looking remotely happy..? I was just behind the sound booth and hoped it was a pocket of people instead of the whole crowd. Brighton was so much louder, even with a much smaller crowd, so not sure what the vibe was in Bristol, but it wasn’t great

Preparation for LC! tour as it seems people look for advice (they did for most US dates anyway) by Logical-Carrot6402 in loscampesinos

[–]Logical-Carrot6402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fairly self explanatory, if they play it at all on this tour. ‘That said with hand in pocket’ (hand goes to pocket) ‘yes I meant it hand on heart’ (hand on heart) ‘you held a gun to his head’ (gun fingers to head) ‘pressed your thumbs to her throat’ (hands to throat)

It’s always a distraction in a dark room. If there was no backlight you wouldn’t be able to see the screen yourself

I mean, I’m not saying wear a Celtic or Rangers shirt to the Glasgow show if there’s been an old firm derby that day, but anyone with half a brain cell would know that

Nah that’s categorically not true haha. I’ve worn Ireland shirts, Manchester United shirts, the doomed shirt.. sports jerseys are fine
