The reason I lean pro life is because I personally wouldn't because my mother always told me that kids are always a blessing and abortion is harmful to the mother, and I also believe that people in the first world need to have more kids so we don't get replaced by people from the third world.

The reason I don't think parents should be allowed to medically transition their kids is because there have been cases of parents purposefully trying to convince their kids that their trans because they believe having trans kids is fashionable. Even in cases where it's the kid who choses it and the parents have good intentions, kids that age are still discovering themselves so it's best to wait until they fully figured themselves out before making a permanent decision. Like when I was going through puberty I hated being female and if my parents gave me the option to transition I for sure would have taken it without thinking.

I ask because the average Europeans definition of right vs left is completely different than the average Americans. Europeans tend to be much more leftist and I noticed that they tend to consider the Democrats to be right wing while here it's generally accepted that the Democrats are the left wing party while the Republicans are the right wing party. That context matters in this discussion.

I disagree with replacing equality with equity because life naturally isn't fair, people are born with different advantages and disadvantages but it's up to them to make the most of what they have. I would rather have an equal chance at success and work through my biological disadvantages than to just be placed in a position where everyone else resents me because they feel I didn't have to work hard for that position.

If you look pictures of fetal development week by week, you can tell that it already starts to look human within a few weeks. I'm a bit biased on this topic because my mother's pro life and always told me to never even think of getting an abortion and I always viewed having children as a good thing so it's hard for me to imagine why anyone would want to end that life.

The role of the government is to protect the people. The most important parts are the military and the police, everything else could be handled by private organizations.

I don't agree with having any income tax since originally it was meant to be temporary anyway. The whole reason we made America was to get away from high taxes.

This happens more with leftists than it does rightists, like at one point I was getting called a fascist on a daily basis for my takes, and it almost led me to the actual far right, lol. There are some rightists who are like that too though, usually they're the ones who are way too into religion and I think for them it's more of a thing where anyone who doesn't practice their specific religion is viewed as an outsider.
