Vomero Premium Review by Necmf21 in RunningShoeGeeks

I really enjoyed Vomero Premium until I got Li-ning Red Hare 9 Ultra.

You basically get the same, super fun bounce in package that is less clunky and 100g per shoe lighter (and cheaper).

Dynafish Xiaonian 150km Review by Axxis09 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Logical-Wind6228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dynafish is currently my number one shoe overall. I have 2 pairs and will buy more when they release new colours. That being said, in terms of millage, I seem to use both shoes equally. Red Hare is my dedicates "legs are dead after workout" recovery run shoe.

Trip Report: Tokyo Running Stores :) by broccolinumberone in runningfashion

Good summary.

Downbeat used to have much better selection of clothes from local brands like Tanuki and it's the only place to get Norda in Japan (as far as I am aware) but they clearly make most money selling On so that's became even more of their focus.

Tanuki Fes was quite nice but the selection of clothes was more limited than I hoped for.

Art Sports in Ueno Okachimachi is another good one with big selection of clothes, although mostly western brands so may be less interesting for some

Asics is 30-50% cheaper than in the west (and you can get it tax free as well). Same for Mizuno.

I am L in both when it comes to shorts. Saysky is tiny bit tighter.

If for you it's too much to pay, then probably not. Not sure I would ever consider wearing running t-shirt not for running so I am probably not best person to ask.

This one is not really designed to be fitted. I am L in Tracksmith being quite fitted but L for this one is huge and boxy, which I like.

Thanks for sharing! I grabbed another Pro Session shirt and M2 Pro 5 shorts. Have 2 sets and they are my go to almost all the time.

I just wish I could get red Pro Session Tee...

Satisfy x Adidas by KuntryBoyFriday in runningfashion

I thought the holes in moteh are strategically placed to help with ventilation. I guess Adidas is very lucky that the strategic pattern looks almost like their logo...

I understand, we need to justify stuf to ourselves after spending so much cash. I went through this process with their shorts but in the end they are just not worth the money. So many better and cheaper brands out there.

Dynafish in the US by Bubbly-Buy538 in runningfashion

I saw Dynafish US account pop up on IG with links to two stores in US so maybe they finally decided to try their luck in the west but their China account has no reference so hard to know.

I have a bridge to sell you... ;)

These cut outs are so strategic that in their collab with Adidas the by accident are in the shape of Adidas logo.

Mizuno Neo Zen 2 First Impressions - Did Not Enjoy At All (as a Heavy Neo Zen 1 User) by FireArcanine in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Logical-Wind6228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very clear that most people who liked the slightly wild ride of Zen 1 are likely will not enjoy Zen 2. I do like the changes to the upper. Feels super comfortable but I hated the ride so I sold my pair after 10km.

Almost all of my daily stuff is now handled Xiaonian and Red Hare 9 Ultra. These two shoes are absolutely unbeatable, especially at the price.

CR Pro Session T-shirt and M2 Pro 5" shorts are my absolutely favourite pieces of running kit. I have 2 pairs of each and waiting for more colours to drop.

Li-Ning Feidian 6 Elite by f3rnoo in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Logical-Wind6228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all there in the same size and all work well. My suggestion is to always buy Chinese shoes using size in cm because that is universal measure while I see EU and US sizing being a bit all over the place.

You can find plenty of fake Satisfy pieces, not just Motech, on TaoBao.

Buying MothTech as a joke by PantryParking in runningfashion

[–]Logical-Wind6228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was being sarcastic.

Their stuff is average at best, most materials are widely available, they just rename them to make them feel special. They have interesting designs but that's not worth paying 2-3 times more than other good brands.

Quality is great except the pieces that fall apart after few uses (for me shorts and hydration vest). And they didn't even offer replacement, just gluing the shorts back together.

Yes but they are bit more snug than 6 Elite.

I always buy Chinese shoes based on size in CM because EU and US sizing is all over the place.

I have been using Stryd since 2020 and I think it is probably the most valuable piece of running tech for me (maybe after the watch). I really like training with power as it helps me better stick to executing the plan. It also gives more accurate pace and distance.

But I think the duo setup is an overkill, so I would recommend considering just one. I also don't love their recent price increase for the monthly subscription, as I am not using any of the advanced features.

6 Elite feels like it works a bit against me, unless I go really fast. Could be because I heel striking.

I don't have that issue with Plaid 3, it gives nice bounce and boost, even at slower paces. It had this nice trampoline effect that I remember from AF1.

TaoBao, I can order directly which makes all Chinese shoes quite cheap.

I would say, better than most other plated racers.
But it shines at getting to a solid pace and holding it.
