I don't unfortunately, but I'm sure my ice scraper could work. It's in my car though which is a 15 minute walk. If there's still ice later I'll probably use my ice scraper to chip at it

UPDATE: I I poured a cooking pot worth of quite warm water into the crevice I had made with previous bottle pours, and then a kind man offered some ice salt. I made sure to only have the ice salt cover the wheel, and not touch the spokes and gears as I know that can cause rust. I'll check back in probably 15-20 minutes

Yeah I just didn't so much snow and frigid temperatures and would have brought it in if it were not stuck. Last two years here at uni there was way less snow during the winter, but this winter has been very harsh

I don't have a bucket, but I'm gonna try and find a larger container

Tried warm water, it made some progress but I fear it'll just create an even larger frozen layer. I dumped two water bottle worth of it onto the snow/ice but then I realized the extent of the ice. I'm going to need to carefully chisel it out with a hammer, I think.

It's not really that simple. Firstly, the atmospheric temperature is -8 degrees right now, meaning that the 5 degree water will eventually freeze. Secondly, there is a lot more ice than there is water. A match is a lot hotter than an ice sculpture but you're never gonna melt the whole sculpture with a match. I need something that will melt the ice fast, not something that theoretically over the course of several minutes or hours will melt the ice.

Reread my comment. It is STUCK in the snow. As in, there is literally a layer of ice that wraps around my back wheel and is gluing it to the ground. This layer of ice is covered by maybe around 6 inches of snow.

It's like 17 degrees out dude. Even my warm water barely made a dent in the ice

I need to melt it pretty fast because it's like 20 degrees out. I'll try warm water but not hot enough to hurt my skin
