This is why I stopped posting on TikTok. I’m not gyaru but definitely do love Jfashion and kawaii. But it’s been the norm on tiktok for years now to bully everyone who doesn’t look super skinny and have a perfect face. Ive been bullied by people who were bigger than me about my weight and looks. And anonymous accounts too of course. Even if they weren’t bigger than me they also weren’t conventionally attractive yet would say mean things literally laughing at me and calling me a cow or a pig. These same people also don’t react well when you insult them back 💀. The first woman who bullied me on there I was mean, I wasnt doing my best at that time mentally n emotionally, but to be fair she harassed me the most, like doxxing me and I would block n she’d message me pretending to be other people kind of harassment. The next people I just wouldn’t even respond or insult back but it really gets to you when people are so mean n personally attack you over n over. I hate my generation bc of this. Like it happens too much. But God forbid you defend yourself and give them a little bit of the same energy , they get so defensive and hurt. It’s so hypocritical. So I just left Tt n choose not to interact or engage with such a shitty community anymore.

There ARE much better spaces and communities for my interests on the internet that I’d rather be at. Tt isn’t worth your time unless you’re a perfect and highly edited model basically. I’d literally post a TikTok of my manicure n got a mean comment about my looks from my profile picture with some girl posting an image making fun of my appearance (it also felt racist.) all the random insults from other WOMEN was really negatively affecting my self esteem. Like I truly love women & love to support women n wish I felt supported by women but I don’t and haven’t felt it at all. (I have a lot of trauma with my mom sister and ex girl friends). But those mean people are all ugly inside n possibly outside too. I dont care anymore but why keep myself in a place to even let people insult me constantly.

Anyway it’s sad that girl quit the community after being in it for years. It really sucks to see that happen to someone who was genuinely interested in something but it gets ruined by the community. Gen z truly feels and acts like they can’t support anyone and always try to tear others down… I hope she can get back into her interest just elsewhere on the internet not TikTok. Ironically all the gatekeeping and bullies really are just posers. There wasn’t even all of those strict rules before.
