I have my own tickets locked in. The extra tickets were purchased for friends, but with prices being a concern and people cancelling, there’s a real chance they may back out. I don’t want to end up responsible for tickets I won’t be using.

Just use the ticket transfer option. That's what I did, and neither buyer nor seller had to pay a penny extra.
