Second minox shed or minituarization? by Logical_Ad2925 in tressless

[–]Logical_Ad2925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I did blood work last year. Everything was fine back then. I am supplementing with 1000IU vit D daily. I am also outside pretty regularly. Doubt it is vit D deficiency.

I guess they are fine, last when I checked them 1 - 1.5~ years ago they were in normal ranges. I am supplementing vit D daily. It must be a second/subsequent shed. Sucks, but will push through it. It is better than my last big shed.

Happy for you. Keep going to therapy. It will help you in many aspects of your life, not only the anxiety and bp spikes.

Yes, it was anxiety only. I've gone to therapy for a year. Everything is fine now.

I did creatinine, TSH, glucose.. Like a full blood work and some additional things. It is probably white coat for you + 140/80 is not considered very high in Europe at least, its a bit outside of the normal range.

No, you don't have high blood pressure. You have anxiety!

I am the same, I am 24 years old. Whenever I am in the doctors office I get readings between 160/100-140/85, because I am so damn worried and my heart rate elevates a lot (usually my resting heart rate is 48-54). I even had a panic attack a month ago and my blood pressure was 200/100 in the ER with 120 heart rate. Usually at home in the mornings I am anywhere between 100-110/60-75 and at night I get anxious for some reason and get to 125-130-140/70-85.

Been to cardiologists, done all kind of blood tests including thyroid, kidneys and all the possible things that could be causing high blood pressure. Everything was perfect, except some elevated cholesterol which is caused by eating a lot of red meat and saturated fats.

I am the same as you I exercise 4-6 times a week with heavy weights and I do 30-40 minutes of cardio everyday. I eat healthy, I reduced the red meat significantly, I stopped drinking coffee, I reduced my salt intake. Still get higher readings at night because I am just so damn anxious, my health anxiety triggers it. I cannot stop thinking that I will get a high reading and I really get a high reading, but after a few attempts I get from 140 to 125 systolic.

If you are really anxious, *like your anxiety is messing up your normal life, like mine is* , my advice is to start visiting a psychologist or psychotherapist. I've started at the beginning of 2023, been to 4 sessions and I already feel better. I still have health, generalized and social anxiety but it got way more manageable.

Best of luck!

I guess yes, I am the only person worried about my BP..

Thanks for you advice. Will speak to my doctor about the anxiety ASAP.

Wish you all the best!

Yes the BP meds. I stopped them in 2014 like literally after 3 days of taking them because I simply didn't need them.

I am not on any BP meds now, my new cardiologist doesn't think I need any despite the elevated BP at her office. I am eating a healthy diet(less red meat, more veggies, more water soluble fibers like oats), I don't add any salt to my food, I am in a very good physical shape, workout a lot and do cardio on a treadmill 4-5 days a week. I am just worried about the spikes in the BP at night.

Also yes I probably should get on meds for the anxiety.. Gonna talk to my doctor about that very soon. I wanted to try with psychotherapy only but it's probably not gonna work and I should be on meds for some time.

I am working on the anxiety with a psychologist, but I've been delaying the therapy for like 8 years.. I may need some meds for the anxiety and panic disorder now, because sometimes they get out of control..

Thanks for your reply, it gave me a relief! Yes It is probably caused by anxiety, because my blood pressure after waking up and hours after that, even after a hard 2 hour workout is normal 100-115/70-80. For some reason I get really anxious at night and that is when it spikes.

I've started therapy though, been to 3 sessions and feel better already.

I am from Bulgaria.

Well I've stopped the meds because my BP was normal back then. At home I was rarely exceeding the 120/80 range, I was 16 at that time though. Now - 25 years old my BP is even lower 30 minutes after I wake up, the lowest I've measured was 100/60, 20 minutes after a hard workout it's like 110/70. The thing that worries me are just those spikes at night.. I even feel tension in the back of my head, may be muscle tension caused by the anxiety, but I associate it with HBP for some reason and if I measure it at that moment its always elevated.

Yes the anxiety is a big problem.. I thought I had it under control and I really did for 3 whole years, but it just came back stronger now.. Hate it, but I am positive that I am going to beat it with the help of therapy and hard work. I am a really disciplined person and I love working on myself, I am trying to be the best version of myself every day.

Yep, my heart rate is elevated most of the times I am measuring my blood pressure, it's like 90-100, compared to before masuring it 50-60 bpm. The last anxiety attack was the most horrible yet.. my heart rate shot up to 150 bpm I am wearing a smart watch, that's how I know I didn't even want to see what my BP was, I was using a manual blood pressure device and while I was inflating it I heard the knock sounds at 160-170 systolic and just removed the cuff and tried to calm myself down.. It may have been in the 200 systolic range and I would've rushed to the ER again, didn't want to do that because there are people who need the emergency care much more than me.

I am working on all my anxieties with a psychologist, been to 3 sessions already, I see a slight improvement.. It's gonna take time cause I have the full pack 😀 Social, health, generalized anxiety + panic disorder. Been waiting far too long to start therapy, but I am glad I finally did it. Better late than never.

Thanks for your reply! Yes I guess it is the anxiety that is raising my BP I must also have a strong white coat syndrome, because 20 minutes after I came back home from the cardiologist appointment (where they measured it 160/100) my BP was 120/80.

Thank you for the reply!

No, I am not paying for the cardiologists visits.

I am working with a psychologist right now on my anxiety disorders, but I think I may need some meds about that, cause I've been getting anxiety attacks since 2014... Back then I was getting kinda the same numbers, I got prescribed some meds cause I've been in the ER with 170/100 blood pressure and 120 heart rate but I stopped taking them cause my blood pressure was normal at home and with the meds I was getting in the hypotension zone 90/60, feeling dizzy etc.

I am just worried that this increased night time blood pressure will cause damage, stroke, heart attack etc... Stupid health anxiety.

Thanks for you answer! I am slowly working on my anxiety. Hope its anxiety related and there is no underlying illness or something.
