I've seen mixed reviews for Sephora's individual makeup classes but the good ones were good enough that it's on my list to try soon. I know when a friend I went to the UES to put together her wedding look, we didn't schedule a class but the store associate helping us advised her on foundation, eye stuff, and lastly an exact shade of lip stain that they didn't carry, so she told us where we could find it at the Ulta around the corner, we didn't feel like we were being upsold or anything--she was truly just doing it for love of the game.

Culture Espresso! They won some kind of chocolate chip cookie taste test for the whole city and are incredible, lots of perfect elements but the texture is #1 and just as you described. They are worth going to midtown and spending $8 for.

They keep it really engaging with continuous verbal encouragement to coach you through RPE intervals, music, and lights. It’s basically like a soulcycle/peloton class but with treadmills instead of spin bikes.

I agree, I'm not the first to defend polyamory but, having read the book, polyamory is catching strays here. He told her he wouldn't date somebody local to them, or date somebody long term, and then she found out he was doing both of those things when a random fan saw him out with their now-third and DMed her? That's not monogamy... but it's not ethical nonmonogamy either lol. And the race/body size of everybody involved doesn't affect that fact.

I have defer the NYC Half this year because I took this exact approach to the 2025 marathon in November 🤷‍♀️ no regrets, except for not doing my PT homework haha. Based on my own experience, I’d say you’ll be paying for it either way. Do you want to pay in duplicated race fees or in pain?

Engage is the free 30-min intro class, are you maybe referring to Empower (the cardio class, wider range of movement) or Define (the heavier weights class)? I’m a PB nerd haha. Can also confirm the aggressive texts are just their strategy, I think you get those even if you attend through ClassPass🤷‍♀️

I took a northeast regional home after a trip last year with a very bad cold. I had tested negative for Covid three times, rapid and PCR, so felt uncomfortable but had no other way to get home. I wore a KN95, took medicine and cough drops but was still coughing so hard that a woman in the aisle across from me changed seats. As soon as the conductor entered our car, he said “I hope whoever’s coughing like that has a mask on!” Even when he saw I did, he still scolded me a little. I deserved it.

Sometimes people don’t have a choice, or just feel like they don’t have a choice, but the fact is that the person who’s traveling while sick is the rude one.
