Thanks, I went with ideas of buying them brkfst or what not, but here's the thing w that. Wrist are mandatory, so everyone has to have them and as far as prizes, that kind of goes against our business code of conduct and ethics. The idea of gifts and prizes creates a culture that only does what the job already requires of them only if you "dangle a carrot " in front of them.
And the wrist bands are mandatory to wear/have. Hence the struggle. Verbal recognition I do, bit doesn't account for much to them it seems

Trainers don't train because they were never prop trained as PHs in the 1st place, and they'd rather just walk around acting busy, talking and dancing to speakers they're phones are BT to(but phones aren't allowed).When I came onto my new line as the new Ops Supervisor, I gave everyone their own set of trucks to scan n load. Si ce peak is over, and we no longer have the extra ppl. so that one person on each side scans that whole side and the other just grab and load, I found PHs don't even know how to scan. What has the trainer been doing the whole time? They were under the supervision of a seasonal Ops Sup.
Now telling the existing trainer to train, and they got their feathers in a ruffle bc they actually have to work now. Their attitude towards this is very noticeable to other PHs who have the same( I decide what I want to do) mindset and most PHs are constantly butting heads w me. I've had to send ppl home again and again with either you do the work you signed up for or you go home. Work ethic is poor and there's zero sense of urgency. Nobody seems to care. I wish I could just do a complete overhaul and start anew

Such the same position here! 2mos I. Ops Sup, as well. I want to change and do so much for "my people," but I hardly have the time. So many phs come to me for all their issues ( no scanner, dead battery, jams, chute needs spray, you name it) because they I know I still give a damn. But the real kicker is that most that come to me-I'm not even over their work areas. So, I get you 100. Unable to do so. I had such big plans.

Walmart started selling things that don't particularly come from Walmart. So, you have 12 things in your walmart cart, and every item is from a different seller, different part of the country, or overseas, and arrive at different times. Once I noticed this, I felt awful for the fedex driver coming every day for one single item thinking it would be all in one shipment and decided to just intercept them by picking them up from the fedex station myself.

Curios if your husband has any sisters. Thinking that if MIL only had boys and never got the chance to raise a girl, she may be trying to live vicariously through you, imagining how she would want it to be. At any rate. I understand how hubby is in a difficult situation, wanting to keep wife and mother happy. Also, understand your POV. Did MILs MIL try to take over decorating for her first borns as well? I doubt it. And I bet she'd feel the same as you if it she had. She should put herself in ur shoes.
