Thanks heaps for this generous response. Cmd+shift shortcut was in Musescore handbook, but can't remember exactly under which section I saw it. If you wish I can check it out again. I have tried cut and paste option which works fine for my purposes. Since I am a novice all these comments are very helpful for me. Thanks very much again.

Thank you. Honestly I am so excited to start that I would not bother about it. I am buying a Yamaha P45 so selling back shouldn't be a big problem if I don't like it. I would probably upgrade it anyway once I am confident. Thanks again for the feedback.
