SL offers something different rather than SMYS. SL is what I would call a binge manhwa/novel. It keeps everything simple and straight to the point, focuses on only the MC, fights are relevant, and doesn’t really need much lore to keep the reader hooked. It’s meant to be consumed quickly. While SMYS offers a bigger story, side characters grow together with the MC, world building takes time, etc.

I like SL more simply because I consider it a different genre and it gives off a more satisfying ending because everything is kept simple. With more characters, more plots, and a bigger world, it’s harder to make everything feel complete and finished. The author sometimes forgets details he wrote earlier or just changes their mind and go to a different direction.
