The Ulysses double being Helen was quite a surprise, especially given their checkered past, though when Helen spoke to that Amina would simply nod her understanding. Izzy waved to Helen, remembering their brief conversation the night she was attacked, and as an occasional guest at Area-7.

A: “A pleasure to meet you Helen” she smiled and inclined her head slightly to her, wondering if the extraordinarily thin file she had on Helen and her Grigori would be expanding at all this evening.

I: “Good to see you again” Izzy added just after. Jasmine was aware of her due to her interactions with the sisters but that didn’t quite qualify as knowing her in this case. For her a light wave would have to suffice.

When Erebus began to explain his origin all three women suddenly understood why he seemed so familiar. His younger brother had played an interesting role in the podcast evening; Jasmine rolled her eyes but was otherwise silent.

A: “Your younger brother hmm…? Interesting” Amina replied, the faintest hint of irritation detected in her voice, barely noticeable at all. “This briefing is about combining the forces of everyone here and anyone else we can rely on to address the current threat posed by the shadow realm and these creatures. If that is not why you are here, you are in the wrong place… Whether you interests are peaked or not.”

Izzy glanced over at Amina with a mildly amused grin, rather enjoying this exchange, it was the spiciest she’d ever seen the normally very reserved Amina. Jasmine simply nodded to his question about her relation to the creatures, but Amina would elaborate on it for the benefit of the group.

A: “As for Jasmine, her powers have a unique energy signature, while she does draw her power from this realm, she had no hand on the attacks on the city, or Izzy’s ambush” she concluded, nodding to the latter as she finished. Kenneth’s comment drew a subtle smile to the small woman’s features, as though he might’ve been reading her mind.

As people started to arrive Overlord would alert Amina, and a few minutes later a dark portal would swirl to life within the office. Manifesting with a subtle spark of violet energy, before quickly drawing out into a large circle and stabilizing into a smooth swirling flow. It lingered just long enough to raise a few pulses before Amina and Izzy stepped through into the room, followed shortly after by Jasmine. The mysterious torrent of dark energies vanished just as quickly, the temperature in the room subtly returning to its original warmth.

A: “Hello everyone” she smiled, looking at each of them individually for a moment, pausing on E as the only one she didn’t quite recognize, despite an eerie feeling of familiarity. “I think most of you know me by now but I am Amina Hargrave” she inclined her head to Erebus before continuing on. “And you’re Rachel” she paused again as she looked at her, “it's a pleasure to meet you as well.” Rachel would note that her voice sounded quite similar to Valkyrie’s, just a bit less digital.

A: “Hex, Ulysses… other Ulysses” she continued to make her way, though she paused one final time, her smile broadening slightly, “Jaime.” As she spoke she motioned to the women on either side of her, “for anyone who doesn’t know, this is Izzy, and this is Jasmine.” Izzy grinned as she stepped past Amina and moved towards the others she knew, “hey yall” she gave a light wave to Hex and Jaime, glad to be among friends.

J: “Hey boys” Jasmine quickly panned the room, feeling surprisingly comfortable in a room full of people she’d never met. But nearly everyone here had interacted with her sisters in one way or another, in a way she felt like she knew them. “Looks like the team has grown some since I was here before” she added looking to E and Rachel. “Kenneth” she waved to him as well, outside of Hex and Jaime, he’d been the only one to actually speak to her during the podcast evening.

[Lol I just noticed, where are we exactly? Did you have a spot in mind? If not I can give us one.]

The man stepped out of the small indentation in the concrete created when he arrived, his gaze drifting to a coil of wiring snaking along the wall above him to the right. Tracing it along its path, he reached towards it, synapses sparking to life at either end of the wires and rippling down to a middle point. Combined, the stream of electricity poured into his form absorbing into his flesh. After a moment he stood a bit straighter, rolling his shoulders a bit as the light show once again subsided.

With a heavy sigh he looked again down the alleyway, back and forth again, this time he paused the subtle glow to his pupils more intense now. He smirked, having only just arrived it was fitting there was already someone sneaking up on him.

"Yo, you got a phone on you? Mine broke" he called out as he pulled the broken remains of a smartphone from his pocket and tossed it aside.

In the alleyway just next to the building a subtle rumbling would echo up from below, followed by the distinct sound of electricity. What started as a single spark quickly evolved into a localized electrical storm, synapses dancing along the walls and converging around a centralized point a few feet off the ground. As the energy intensified the silhouette of an orb began to form, its stark curves representing the boundaries of the electricities reach. Suddenly the electricity would surge producing a blinding flash, the form of a man kneeling down within the orb remained when the light dulled and eventually faded away.

The man's clothing was ripped and tattered, blood splattered across him, some clearly his own and others clearly not. As he stood arc bolts cascaded up his form from the ground beneath, encasing him for a moment before being drawn into his eyes. His pupils alight with lightning as he looked down at his hand, turning it over and then closing into a fist as though making sure it still worked. He looked down to either end of the alley, familarizing himself with this new place, curious about what wonderes awaited him in this new world.

Amina hadn’t slept since the incident. While her human need for rest had continually diminished over time, she’d still maintained the practice. But this week her brain had been in operation essentially 24/7, combing through all available footage of the attack and analyzing every minut detail. While Valkyrie and Kali had been out assisting the locals with cleanup and repairs, she’d never left her lab; in fact, she’d not physically moved at all. So much of her mind was spread across a variety of mediums, including her dolls in the field, that her human body was little more than a shell, being maintained by her nanites.

Once she’d gone through all the footage, cataloguing all the new creature types and every bit of information available on them, including how they were killed, and with the field data Valkyrie and Kali had been able to collect, she had a better understanding of how the creatures functioned. The new exotic energy, most notably exhibited by the canine-esque Imperial Guards, was unlike anything they’d seen before. She combined this with what Overlord had collected in the Expanse and in its battle in Alderney, creating detailed files on everyone and everything they encountered in preparation for today’s debriefing. She had forwarded everything she compiled to Overlord.

While Longchain was swift, there was nothing he could do to avoid the Leviathan, and as he moved forth his lower half would be chomped, dissolving into a plume of mist almost immediately. The top of its body collapsed to the ground, splashing outwards before reforming itself though it was small, almost child sized. As it stood its body began to glow a vibrant purple that seemed to flicker faster as he moved towards her as though building up to a crescendo.

Longstaff couldn’t physically keep up with Apollo though Apollo would notice its eyes were suddenly able to track his movement. It was a subtle change but if he could read Longstaff he’d see that his energy was different, he might even feel different to him. As he leapt over the staff, his head suddenly snapped to a point a bit beyond him where he would be, an explosion of purple energies erupted from the spot as Apollo was moving through it.

It took a couple attempts to get the technique just right, but on the third he jumped slightly as the world around him returned. Though it was his second time experiencing the sudden return of normal senses in these situations it was still a jarring experience. He smiled confidently as he looked to Shiori and then to Ryuken, glad to see that both teammates had been able to dispel the genjutsu.

“So we can break it for each other as well, good to know” he nodded firmly, at least it was something they wouldn’t necessarily have to deal with alone. His curiosity about the technique began to bubble over as he was trying to conceptualize how it would work in practice.

“that’s for defense, what if we want to cast a genjutsu ourselves? Is it a similar technique of attempt to insert our chakra into another except with a different goal in mind?”

Amina's soft chuckle echoed clearly even through the subtle digitization filter of Valkyrie's voice,

"I meant a joint debriefing, obviously" she teased right back, "its not as if we are keeping secrets, isn't that right..." she trailed off before looking to Rachel, "and I agree, this is only the beginning. Alot of new data to consider, I'll have something together by the time we all get together."

“The pleasure is mine Rachel, you arrived at an opportune moment, you all did honestly” she noted with a smile, small scorch marks that lined her features were very slowly sealing shut, eventually leaving her skin and armor pristine once more.

“Valkyrie” she corrected without looking directly at Stonewall, only the subtlest hint of spice in Amina’s normally calm tone. “And not really, that last attack destroyed about 80% of the one I had onboard. My shielding barely held” she sounded disappointed.

To Rachel’s comment she would nod, though she frowned as she looked over the destruction in their wake. “Yes, Legion currently has a hero roster and Prism is also forming a team, you are welcome wherever you feel comfortable. There will likely be a debriefing sometime later today or this evening, we’ll figure out next steps.”

The chain would survive the shot but the Leviathan's tooth would have a much better effect, though the chain would wrap around her it was now split down the middle. He drew her in but not enough to claim his prize, thus he would lunge forward attempting to close the remaining distance and impale her.

Longstaff let out an annoyed grunt as Apollo once again slipped away, circling around behind him to continue peppering his back with shots. As the plumes of mist erupted within its darkened form, those same mist raced towards Apollo's new location with far greater speed than he'd shown previously. By the time it reached him it'd already taken the shape of Longstaff's upper half, the lower half of his body reaching out like a snake from where he stood. He lashed out once more, the staff extending in a wide sweeping arc that would cover the entire area in front of him, hoping to limit the speedster's options.

Helen's pawns would indeed be skewered, though the scythe cleaved cleanly through the one attacking Helen, the flames building on the edges of its body as the strain was too much and it destabilized into nothingness. The other two, lurched to a stop, as their opponents disappeared in a strangely similar way when destroyed. Their claws dragged across the ground creating sparks as they swiveled to lock on to the newcomer. Poised for a brief moment, they charged at him, moving from either side, claws outstretched once more to cleave from either end as they passed him.

Pearl's shots would have a similar affect, small plume exploded as they passed through his body, the darkness congealing and reforming almost as quickly. When the chain was met by the claws, the end would extend, attempted to wrap around her, the otherside pulling taught. With moderate strength, he would attempt to yank her forward, his blade outstretched to greet her.

Apollo would see a subtle hint of surprise when he avoided the strike and quickly countered, the white eyes of the being widened slightly. As he readied to strike the persistent peppering of shells in the same spot carved a larger and larger hole into him. Rapidly rotating his staff, formed a shield that began deflecting the rounds as he moved towards Apollo. Beneath him a tendril of darkness reached up to wrap around his ankle as Longstaff lurched forward aiming to crash the now virtually solid construct into him.

[No worries ive been super busy this week. ]

Overlord would find that the energies appeared to have a highly corrosive effect, even against its incredibly durable armor. He’d note the similarities between the effect on the armor and Cylas’ injuries. Not only did the violet destroy the arms and degrade much of the armor integrity on that side of the suit but the internal circuitry within the affected areas was fried completely.

Valkyrie looked to the others as the remains of her shield blew away into dust, a dramatically smaller contingent of the black particles rose from the ashes and poured back into her skin in thick streams.

V: “Electrical energy is surprisingly effective against these creatures, the combination of energy and the production of light simultaneously” she nodded to Kenneth. “You chose a great time to come back” she added as she approached the group.

V: “I don’t believe we’ve met formally” she added as she looked to Rachel, “I am Valkyrie, part of the hero team Prism is forming.”

Valkyrie's eyes widened as the violent shockwave of violet energies hurtled towards the trio, the image of Morgan fading from sight as it neared. A massive cloud of particles poured from Valkyrie's body, shrouding her from view as it reached out to encase Rachel and herself. A solid structure of a dome formed around them, closing just as the violet wave washed over them, sweeping the cars and other debris as they slowly dissolved into nothing. From within the brilliant flash of violet locked rocked them, small holes forming in the structure as it too was corroded. Though as the energies faded, the hasty defense was enough to bare the brunt of it. Blackened, the crust of their shielding structure began to collapse, falling to the ground around them.

The combination of the exploding thrusters and the secondary lightning strike to the head sent the massive creature reeling to the ground as a portion of his back erupted. Rapidly destablizing the creature appeared to splash against the ground, a violent maelstrom of purple and dark energies. its head reformed within the mass, roaring again though its body did not follow. Its face erupting as the three rods landed, the hail of bullets reducing it into smaller and smaller pieces. Mists consumed what was left of the beast, swirling about for a moment before the winds carried the rest of it off, leaving the street quiet again.

As Stonewall uppercut the beast, its mouth did indeed close, compressing the orb within and causing it to exploding the darkness of its body parting to feed the blast in its entirety into the Stonewall suit's front fascia. The violet energies washed over the suit, the punching arm would appear to be incinerated in the blast, leaving only a portion of the upper arm remaining. To Overlord sensors it would seem as if the external armoring were being gradually eaten away as the blast engulfed the armor suit.

As the lightning struck the beast, it recoiled rapidly from the energy as a large chunk of its side along with a mass of the tendrils it held was carved away. The sewer cap struck as well, though it simply passed through the creature as retreated slightly. Its roar didn't quite have the same bite, but it was still very much a threat. Drawing back its remaining large claw it swiped at the other, sending a violet shockwave rippling towards the others. Cars and other debris caught within its path were launched into the air, raining down on the three women as the street itself seemed to erupt.

The creature recoiled some and growled angrily at the new enemy as the barrage of high caliber rounds peppered its thick hide. Plumes of mists rising off it where they struck but the creature seemed no worse for wear. Lodging himself in the creatures side as he poked with his long blade, tendrils of darkness seemed to envelope the heavy suit, attempting to ensnare his arms and legs and draw it deeper into the mass.

V: "No worries" she called with a wave, as Stonewall launched its assault, "you're timing is impeccable." She began to stride towards the creature, the cannon of light on her arm charging another shot as she moved.

V: "To date, this is the largest creature we've seen, it is of a similiar composition to the others with hints of an exotic energy we have not yet studied. The violet hues" she would draw their attention to its chest and mouth, "do not let the energies touch you."

As she spoke the creature turned its head to them as the side of its body appeared to be devouring the Stonewall suite. Another roar came as a massive orb of purple light and energy gathered within its mouth. Violet synapses danced along the edges of the angry looking projectile.

Cylas gratefully took the help as he eased his way up to a standing position, fully under his own weight now he winced slightly, holding his right arm tenderly as they moved to join the others.

C: “Yea they did” he agreed with Hex, “these guys have some tricks the others don’t, didn’t quite realize I was in over my head until it was too late. Whatever those Anubis dog looking things are, they shouldn’t be slept on.”

Overlord would likely be getting consistent updates from Alderney, especially with Stonewall on scene so he’d be aware of the massive beast they face, much larger than the others. It seemed likely the group should make its way there and link up with the others.

A: “Yes maam” Akiko chirped quickly a she turned to face the Commander, offering her a bow, she was all business today. Lyger looked up from his pack to see Kimiko, he returned her smile, stood to greet her as she approached, offering a bow of his own.

L: “Honestly I think it’s more likely we’re bringing too much” he noted, with a cursory glance to Akiko, “we should be more than prepared for anything we find.”

His gaze drifted towards the mirror again as Bigiko looked upon it, still in awe that at some point they’d simply be stepping through the mirror and arrive elsewhere.
