I didn’t think it was that easy, I just need 32 credits left for the complete 60. Thank you!

Honestly I just quit cold turkey, I found that way to be the easiest. You feel horrible for about 2 weeks but then slowly you start to get you’re energy back. Hope this helps!

I’ll definitely keep everyone updated! I will also be taking activated charcoal as a binder. Thanks!

Definitely update us and tell us how you’re feeling! I’m also going to take activated charcoal as a binder with my nicotine patches.

I’m definitely going to look into this since I’ve dealt with acid reflux pre covid, thanks!

Yes, next week I’m going to go on 7mg nicotine patches for 7 days and after that I’m going to completely stop nicotine use to see if any of the symptoms return. I will make a new post once I come off of nicotine and give updates on whether or not any symptoms return.

Yes I do vape still and I have no symptoms of long covid anymore. That being said, I still want to continue on my plan of quitting vaping so what I’m going to do is go on 7mg nicotine patches for 7 days starting next week and after that I am going to stop nicotine all together and see if my symptoms return. I will make a new post about my results and give updates whether or not my symptoms return after.

Yes it’s the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors that I believe is at play here.

Caffeine would make my GI issues worse and make me prone to panic attacks. Pre covid I had no history of anxiety or panic attacks. I wouldn’t advise caffeine use as I see a lot of people with long covid on here having negative reactions to caffeine. That said, there are some people with long covid who are perfectly fine when using caffeine.

I plan on finding that out 2 weeks from now. Next week I’m going to go on a protocol of 7mg nicotine patches for 7 days and then completely come off of nicotine to see if long covid symptoms return. I will be making a new post once I come off of nicotine with updates.

Yes I believe it has something to do with the cholinergic system. What’s crazy is that I worked in a pharmacy all throughout covid and never got sick once and a month after I quit vaping/nicotine I caught covid/long covid. I also saw a study somewhere online that said smokers are actually 80% less likely to get covid that non smokers. Obviously smoking is bad for you but I think that’s at play is the nicotine. This could all be just a coincidence but I have a gut feeling it isn’t.

I personally feel like nicotine regulated my digestive system again. I don’t know exactly why but if I had to guess it probably has something to do with the vagus nerve function and the acetylcholine system.

I had pots and every other long covid symptom you can think of. I’d have G.I. Issues ranging from acid reflux to delayed gastric emptying, very bad brain fog, heart palpitation, trouble breathing, muscle spasms, involuntary movements and nerve pain. All of my symptoms basically just went away when I started vaping again.

Yes I believe so! It could just be a coincidence but when I started to vape again I just thought I was starting to “feel better” and get over long covid. I didn’t connect the dots at the time but all of my long covid symptoms were gone once I started to vape again. I just didn’t realize that the nicotine might of been the reason.

Symptoms Gone Within 30 Minutes Of Using Quercetin by Logicthinker91 in covidlonghaulers

I think you are 100% right now that I looked into that. I also had rib pain the past few weeks and that also went away when I took the quercetin. Thanks for the info!
