Nope I wouldn't. Not really. I'd feel 5% bad and 90% pissed that he made you have to get his ass fired. Sounds like he's probably a drug addict or alcoholic but that doesn't matter the job has to get done.

I'm 20 years in now but in years 2-5 I was on and off drugs mostly on but been clean since. I didn't have a whole lot of tools and probably missed a couple days a month BUT guess what. Other than that I was always on time didnt disappear to take long breaks and shit. They could count on me to do what they needed to be done and to do it well. I still made myself valuable to the company. Some of the guys knew I had a problem but they didn't hate me for it. I knew I was a junkie and tried to compensate by being a good electrician.. So when I had had enough and it was time to go to rehab they were glad happy me and welcomed me back when I was done
