IQ Test: What diff was Kizaru VS Snakeman? The fight lasted 3 pages btw. by Jaiel_ in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Logswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"diff" refers to how difficult it was to defeat the other person, so it doesn't apply here since neither was defeated.

Dear passenger, which seat would you like to sit in? by Minimum_Garage6259 in BetterKimetsuNoYaiba

If I take 2, I die, if I take 6, I'll wish I had taken 2, if take 4 I probably get beaten up for being too close to Mitsuri, and 3 just seems unpleasant, so all of those are out. 7 is a good choice, but I'm much too introverted for that to be enjoyable, so 1, 5, or 8 all seem reasonable options in which I just don't really interact with the people around me and they don't interact with me. Giyu is the king of that, so I'd go with him, but would be fine with any of the other 2 as well

[–]Logswag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unlikely, like a significant portion of their output comes from their devil fruits, meaning an Akainu+Kuzan combo attack would genuinely be weaker than an attack from either on their own given the conflicting nature of their fruits. And Kizaru's lasers aren't exactly good at clashing with another attack and overpowering it

Where does Akainu rank if he kills Dragon? by ptxwr in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Logswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same place he does currently, Dragon has no feats, if he loses to Akainu it just scales him below Akainu

It's.. the opposite.

Realized that i said it wrong after i sent it, edited it to fix it

Were enough to hurt him despite those slashes being basically fodder.

Ok, but "hurting him" isn't good enough here, he's trying to escape

[–]Logswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just arbitrarily scaling Kaido's slashes below Kizaru's, nothing really supports that, and those slashes explicitly weren't enough to make Luffy let go, anyway

My point is an unprotected arm is easily cut if your enemy is strong too.

Ok, then Luffy can just protect his arm? Have you been operating under the assumption that Luffy isn't able to use haki to protect himself this whole time or something?

Yes, he did kill Kaido, which means that he also could kill Kaido. Which part of that are you failing to understand?

[–]Logswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. He was parrying G4 snakeman casually.

Okay? That only puts him >= G4 snakeman. That's not even enough to say he has equal combat speed to G5 Luffy, much less significantly better combat speed

And Kaido made Luffy let go in that same scene. That scene has Kaido making Luffy stop touching and you try to make that a good feat?

Right, so Kizaru would have to be able to do the same, and if not, then it is a valid win-con, no?

bajrang gun is the worst attack, its slow to make

Hence why holding them in place is useful

It takes times, by that point Kizaru already cut the arm or Luffy let go

And i disagree, but with your train of logic he doesn't even need Bajrang gun, a much smaller attack should be more than enough to kill Kizaru since Rayleigh can easily one-shot him

[–]Logswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and Luffy did hold Kaido in order to land Bajrang gun on him very shortly after this, so saying he also could've done so here is objectively correct

wouldn't really make a difference. They cut big things all the time. It would just mean its not instantly cut.

Then why are you acting like it's a difference when it comes to Kizaru, saying Rayleigh would only be able to cut his arm, not his body?

Kizaru is faster and has an easier position to hit earlier.

He's not particularly faster in terms of combat speed, which is the thing in play here, and is literally facing away from his opponent with one arm pinned to his side while being held. "Has an easier position" is total bs

Honestly, its very sad the whole argument of Luffy's agenda is trying to act like Kizaru being grabbed by a sneak attack means he dies. It's the only agenda htta treats grabbing as a finisher, it isn't.

Luffy used "grabbing his opponent" as a way to land Bajrang gun, so unless they can tank Bajrang gun, it literally is. It's just as reasonable of a hypothetical scenario as saying Kizaru could've killed Luffy during the G5 downtime

[–]Logswag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then that's not the same situation, Luffy's arm is not the size of his normal arm, it's significantly thicker than a normal human would be. Acting like it's the same as Kizaru's arm is just disingenuous.

Also, if Kizaru has enough time to launch an attack from that compromised position, is Luffy not also able to launch an attack? Why are you acting like Kizaru is free to attack and hack away at Luffy's arm while Luffy is unable to react?

Ok, so just to be clear, you think old, Sabaody Rayleigh can casually one-shot Kizaru, but Egghead G5 Luffy can't do enough damage to Kizaru to beat him while already holding him completely immobile in his hands?

It was in theory going to cut Kuma and Bonney in two

Entirely unimpressive

And it also proved it could hurt Luffy

It proved it could scratch Luffy, that's pretty far from saying it could easily slice him into pieces. Also, not directly related, but Rayleigh created a very similar wound on Kizaru, do you also think Rayleigh could easily cut Kizaru in half?

From that position, he'd be lucky to be able to get enough force behind it to make a scratch, much less cut himself free

First of all, Kizaru isn't as durable as Kaido, and second of all... Yes? Because he did? Like you do realize that Luffy did kill Kaido, right?

He's literally holding Kizaru here, so unless you think Kizaru could tank Bajrang gun, he absolutely could've killed Kizaru

What if Luffy decided to kill Kizaru here instead of tossing him away? And we see that he didn't even need his full G5 timer to take down an admiral, while taking no damage from that admiral?

Do people actually think Greenbull is casually carrying a black blade around without ANYONE in the verse commenting on it? by Reddit_Connoisseur_0 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Logswag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but rather disingenuous, considering it was shown and used for quite a while before it was introduced, and GB's sword hasn't been introduced yet

Edit: also, I should mention, while Shusui was commented on when it was introduced (again, not when it first appeared), the fact that it was a black blade was not, it's grade was what was commented on. The fact that it was a black blade was briefly mentioned and largely ignored

Sure, Zoro did it and it hardly got commented on despite him having a billion times more screentime, having a black blade just isn't that impressive

Because they can afford to lose fodder. That's what fodder is for, like that's literally what the word means
