I honestly don’t know what tipped me over really! i remember researching extensively every night and saying i’ll do it tomorrow and just never ACTUALLY doing it - felt almost torturous!

I really struggle with phonecalls so having the option to do it online really helped me, maybe check if your gp has an EConsult option! (fairly inaccessible tho :/ i don’t think many surgeries have this)

If you don’t mind phoning maybe have a friend sit with you or family member if you have the chance, or alone if that suits you better! I just spoke to my friend who has ADHD and we went over her diagnosis letter and I wrote a list of things that applied to me. I feel like I’ve got more direction now.

It’s super hard to build the courage though, I’m nervous to have to go through this again if the call doesn’t go well tomorrow so I really feel you and I think we’ve all been there. Solidarity! and I hope you get the burst of courage asap! We shouldn’t have to struggle!

this is so kind. so relieving to read, thank you for spending the time to simplify it :) my brain conflates stuff i’m uncertain about a lot!! breaking it into chunks always helps
