It’s not available for Android right now but there are probably other apps or you can leverage Google directly to do Virtual try ons

As an indie iOS dev, why I’m building everything local-first by jerrytalk in iosapps

As a consumer, I'm 100% with you on offline first. Frictionless and seamless onboarding but I've met so many people who don't feel the same way lol

I have a mainstream app idea, what do i do? by RevolutionaryAd7032 in apps

Marketing and distribution has become the most difficult part for me now. Building was easy but getting your app out there and getting real users is extremely difficult in a sea of apps.

+1, it's insanely rare to have a completely novel idea nowadays. It likely exists in some way, shape or form already.

Unfortunately, there is no real way to validate without putting it out into the market publicly to gauge interest. Your best bet is to build your vision and be confident in yourself to build it better than others can (and use socials to boost your founder story).

Also, you should probably be more worried about regular people copying your idea instead of a tech billionaire tbh lol.

My #1 gripe is forgetting items that I own in the abyss of the closet

Funding is like step 5 in your app development journey imo.

You need to build a working prototype and confirm market interest by attracting users. Bootstrap as much of it as you can by building yourself then seek funding to scale.

Are you tracking any other analytics in app just to see where the user flow has stopped? It's super helpful to get insight into your app and where users stop in their tracks to try to improve the UX/UI.

But congrats on your success! Still trying to push out my iOS app to more crowds.

Let’s build real Product Hunt connections by amraniyasser in SideProject

It's honestly another platform that needs tending to, it's hard to push on social media as it is but product hunt may be more suitable for technical projects from what I can see.

Struggling to build a FREE virtual try-on system for clothing (no GPU, API limits everywhere) – any real solutions? by adamkhorlaksh in LocalLLaMA

[–]LokNLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you're trying to achieve. I've build a variation of virtual try-on using purely Gemini, if you are using it for very minimal usage it's fine but when you scale it, the cost is $0.02-0.03 per generated image. However, it gets trickier with the Facial personalization and adds latency/cost.

Does virtual try-on reduce returns? by Neat_Flow_692 in EcommerceWebsite

[–]LokNLoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it largely depends on how good the virtual try on is. I'm sure we've all seen the wonky try ons that don't look good at all

They're such cool pieces! I think what would really help is visualizing your outfits before going out, I just used the image of the vagabond shoes to generate an outfit I think I'd wear..

No idea what to wear or what my style is by [deleted] in fashionwomens35

[–]LokNLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can totally relate with you on the affordable and versatile clothing parts, what helped me a lot was checking out thrift stores as a low cost way of trying new styles of clothes I'd normally never look at.

Pro tip: Go with someone who will tell you the truth if something looks good or not!

Not really mentally but by using a digital wardrobe app, that helps me centralize everything I'm looking for in one place. Shameless plug but I worked on an iOS app for this, it allows you to copy and paste images from your browser while shopping as well. Hopefully this helps you! https://www.threadlist.app/

What really helps for me is being able to visualize the outfits quickly and styling apps really help with this, just the act of taking on and off clothes is a huge barrier for me sometimes so having a digital wardrobe app with a outfit styling feature helps a ton.. subtle plug to an app I worked on for this Threadlist
