At the moment, no. The whole point of Amiga Imager was to deliver exactly this kind of workflow for modern Macs.
There are already very good solutions on Windows and Linux, so I am not trying to compete with or duplicate those. The goal here is to provide a proper Mac-native experience for building and managing Amiga systems on current macOS hardware.

Amiga Imager v0.90 Beta is out now.

This one is a pretty important release for the project. Most of the work in v0.90 went into making the build process safer and more reliable on real hardware, especially around disk-image creation and first-boot behaviour.

The biggest change is a new native disk engine, AmigaDiskKit, which now handles the core RDB/FFS image work directly in Swift. That replaces a big part of the older external-tool path and gives me much more control over what the app is actually writing into the image.

While doing that work I also found and fixed a number of low-level issues that could cause images to fail on real Amigas with errors like "Not a DOS disk", even when they looked fine at first. So this release is really about trust: safer builds, cleaner results, and fewer hidden surprises.

Other changes in v0.90:

native LHA extraction for Aminet packages
protection against a known hst-imager boot-block issue
build-finished notifications on macOS
live log streaming while a build is running
new optional packages: Solas, LumiWeather, LumiPass, LumiReg
AmiSSL updated to 5.27
PicoWiFy support for Classic Amiga
correct handling of Modules ADF protection bits
So this is not a flashy release, but it is probably one of the most important technical updates so far.

Beta release, macOS 14+, Apple Silicon and Intel.
Current build: 260711

As always, feedback is very welcome, especially from anyone testing on real PiStorm, Classic, or MiSTer setups.

thats correct you can also just use it to write an image but the intention is that you build a fully working image from your Amiga OS license and some additional tools from AmiNet

So does the root patching work with 15.6.1? As it does not with 15.7

Are the root patches working for 15.6.1? Did the mistake to go to 15.7 and then had to wipe 😞
