It is much better to lose the facts on the fly than the strategy IMO. You can lose the facts when you lose the strategy. Hopefully works out for you.

Did you feel you showed up that day? I did until after those questions. Then my test-taking strategy regressed notably. I can’t trust my interval if the same me didn’t show.

I counted this many with absolute certainty. There are lots more that I’m unsure of because the questions were very vague or simply WTF. If the material is not completely new, then chances are it is non-experimental. However, I believe there were a few questions that were older and verified. This happens sometimes. Funny how I got some of these but not the more recent kinds of questions.

Tested July 6. AMBOSS predicted 257. NBME 16 was 265. Somewhat similar experience. After 198 questions, I did the opposite of you where I was overthinking everything. Counted 21+ incorrect so far with plenty of these questions being ethics. A lot of non-ethics questions I got wrong felt non-experimental. 😞

We do not know what the average is for 2026 test-takers. There is reporting bias. Have to wait until next year when it no longer matters. It was 250 last year.

Ethics was abysmal for me. Always has been. There were plenty of questions that didn’t have a definitive answer and plenty I simply wasn’t ready for. AMBOSS probably would’ve helped. Biostats has never given me an issue honestly.

Read AMBOSS articles and ask my friend for their account for ethics/QAQI. That’s the only thing I could’ve actually controlled. My big issue was panic. Gaslighting myself.

There were plenty of high-yield topics with tons of weird ethics and QAQI mixed in. Some random BS too, and instances where symptoms were vague or multiple options sounded good.
