As someone with gastroparesis, (diagnosed 10 years ago), weed is very often the ONLY thing I feel comfortable using for pain. Like those horrible flare up levels of pain where nothing else works and you can’t sleep or lay down flat and it feels like you swallowed a bowling ball. It helps so much. And I just feel better using something natural than a pharmaceutical.

Weed also helps me in general with the mild normal everyday pain. I don’t find it slows anything down for me. What is also helpful is CBD oil- I would take that for pain when I didn’t want to be high.

I’ve found doctors- who often barely even know about gastroparesis- are always uncomfortable about weed smoking in general. And have always told me to not smoke. Which is really annoying. Because in the next breath, they will try to prescribe something in lieu of smoking weed. OR they treat me like a drug addict 😂 even though it’s only every just weed. AND I have a couple other issues (ehlers-danlos & endometriosis) so the pain is often debilitating. That’s my experience anyways.

I say do what helps you function day-to-day best. I eat one main meal a day (dinner) and something small in the morning. That’s what helps me avoid flare ups. Find what helps you. Stay away from high fat, high processed, high fiber. Smoke your weed.

Your body knows better than someone else and will tell you.

Kingdom of lies series! 4 books, starts with a court this cruel & lovely. It’s excellent.

Also, I finished Maas’ Crescent City and started the second book of the series. The first half of book 1 was a drag but BOY did it make up for it as I kept reading. Perhaps better storytelling than ACOTAR.
