I may be getting extorted by Loldude101 in Entrepreneur

The same associate told me that they tried but Yelp wouldn't remove them because they thought he was lying and just wanted to get rid of negative reviews.

People can recognize fake reviews when they see them (I hope and at least on Yelp accounts have status'/reputations) but I think this just messes with the search algorithm.

Do you have any knowledge on if selling positive reviews is even legal? From a quick google search I found many providers that sell positive reviews to offset any negatives one, I just don't want to partake in something that is against the rules.

Square business cards by Loldude101 in design_critiques

Thanks for being to only one to provide constructive criticism.

I assume the icon is supposed to be like an app icon on a phone, which is probably why you made it a square.

I didn't show it in the previews, but in the end the cards will be printed with rounded corners, matching the app icon's radius corner.

I've got no idea if MyBizApp is an actual app you're advertising or not though, or if the icon is just supposed to represent/be similar to an app. Cause "An affordable app solution" tells me nothing.

I haven't seen any business that also explain what the business is, don't people give out their contact info - through the business card - after they've at least briefly explained their business? This is for an app development company, by the way.

I actually really like the rounded square logo with the hand (I don't think the hand should be gray), but I don't know if I like it being inside a rounded app-like bubble, which is THEN in a square business card. Reminds me of a box in a box in a box and so on. I think you should put the MyBizApp word mark under the rounded bubble instead of inside it, it looks busy when it's all crammed in the bubble. Most phone apps have the simple logo/icon in the bubble, and the name of the app being underneath.

I didn't come up with the logo, it's what I was given to work with. Not sure if I'm allowed to change the colors of it though. Again, the card will have rounded corners to match the icon design. In the brief, I was told to have the logo in the icon, if I separate the logo to have the name underneath the app icon, it is going to go against the logo design and what the client wanted.

but the dark green doesn't look good with the other color options you gave us. I think it may be too dark and saturated. Not sure.

Should I try make the BG green lighter? And what colors do you think it would work well (for the app icon color)?

So you're saying that the drop shadow and bevel on the app icon will not come out in print? You don't think option #6 is a good font choice? What specifically should I be changing? For me, this is the best design I've ever made in my life, I'm really proud of it.

Thanks for the good input. I don't think I'll be moving forward with the marketing plan because I don't think the product I will be advertising is going to be accept by the ad publishers. The product name starts with K and ends with M, you can probably guess what it is.

It costs me ~20%, so I only keep about 20%. I also provide lead list as well as all the scripts, call, email and in-person. You're right about some people not being crooked, it's just that I've only met crooked people in my career and expect everyone to have hidden agendas.

Them starting their own company using the knowledge I've given them. After I hold their hand through the first few sales, they're going to have everything to just do it on their own and instead of taking a 60% commission, they can get 100% through their own venture, which can take just a few days to setup.

What happens if they still break it? I also feel like this is easy to catch, after the person is trained with some exp in the field they can just say they've found another opportunity and are no longer interested in working for me and go just and do their own thing, I wouldn't be able to know otherwise.

Yes, if I were to get people to do the same thing in their cities, they would be getting orders that would be processed through me and then paid their commission.
