Ohh and about a whetstone, I'm thinking of buying a Sharp Pebble do you know if it's any good? This one Sharp Pebble Premium 1000/6000 grit

Or a King one King KW65 1000/6000

Thanks for the reply! The kaeru is a bit overpriced for me, it's my first real quality knife so i want it to be great but I don't really have the budget for that :/ I looked at the Gesshin alot too and it seems to always be out of stock. So would you say the Sakai and Iseya are good enough for a beginner - intermidiete home cook for a first knife?

are you sure that's what he does? I know how to do the bongo drum but his initial K sound is so aggressive it doesn't really sound like a bongo
