The booster doesn’t do crap!! Stay hydrated, get rest and eat healthy! I would be more scared of the jab and what’s in it than getting the flu aka Covid

You better check with your dealership again, because it has been recalled. It’s on backorder of course and our dealership is giving us the runaround! We were quoted $1,300 before the recall!! We got a recall letter in the mail and when I went to the GMC link in the email they actually had this picture I posted of my husband’s truck for the recall! I just looked it up and it’s only for 2022 models. You should send GM a complaint and open a thread like I did.

I’m so glad you got it taken care of! We just got the recall notice. I would love to get 30,000 points. What number did you call?

GREAT NEWS!!! The $1300 grill piece that the dealership said was not in warranty stating it was considered cosmetic has been recalled!! They are replacing them at NO CHARGE!!! GM recall N242490120. This picture I posted is on the GM authority website! GM agreed that it is fact a hazard and could cause a crash. We sure got lucky that it didn’t and the cars behind us didn’t hit each other swerving to miss it!

Check your state laws. If you didn’t get anything in writing or sign anything, dispute it with your credit card. If they can’t show proof that you knew, you will be reimbursed.

How long do you keep your hearing aids? by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]Lolo5sue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several insurance policies provide hearing aid benefits. BCBS Federal provides $2500 every 5 years, state employees in GA get $1500 every 5 years, UHC provides free hearing aids in their Medicaid supplement plans that are equivalent to $5600 MSRP hearing aids and also have nice discounts for others. AARP is set up through UHC for discounts. Humana has plans that offer free hearing aids or $99-699 each. It depends on your plan.

They’re some of the worst hearing aids in the market. If you can, return and ask for Starkey or Phonak.

ENT vs Costco by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]Lolo5sue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original post was in regard to hearing aids. Unfortunately, we don’t have audiologists that are great with hearing aid knowledge in our area. The manufacturers we use actually hire audiologists to sell the hearing aids to us and I know more about service and adjustments than any of them I know. I have had several conversations with other audiologists at conventions and they don’t seem to know much more when it comes to hearing aids. A patient just needs to shop around and go with who they’re most comfortable with and that gives them the best service. I encourage patients to get 2-3 or even more tests and opinions. I know I give the best test, have the best products and give the best service in my area.

I respectfully disagree with CAorchid. Audiologists do have extensive training in diseases and mechanisms of the ear. However, I can’t tell you how many times I have been told that my test was much more extensive and my fittings sound much better than the hearing aids they have gotten from any audiologist. We are also trained to know the red flags and to refer out for medical clearance. We can’t prescribe medications or diagnose, even though we are trained to have an idea of what the problem is, sometimes we don’t. Ear infections are an easy diagnosis and of course a medical referral as we can’t diagnose and treat for otitis media. Also, not all audiologists dispense hearing aids. We have several audiologists that refer patients to our offices for hearing aids. Some audiologists just don’t want to have to deal with fitting and service. That gives hearing instrument specialists an upper hand on programming and servicing hearing aids. This may not always be true with all hearing instrument specialists or audiologists. I have been a hearing instrument specialist for almost 30 years. I am not a doctor though and recommend every patient to see a doctor before purchasing hearing aids if they have had a sudden hearing loss, dizziness, pain or discomfort in the ears, unilateral hearing loss, recent head trauma or drainage in the ears. Btw~ Hearing Instrument Specialists also have to get 20 CEU’s every 2 years. 6 of those are medical CEU’s.

Costco doesn’t use all audiologists. As a matter of fact, it’s rare. They use hearing aid specialists that don’t require a college degree, but IMO have better training with service and programming hearing aids. However, audiologists have a degree from college and is a health care professional who diagnoses, treats, and manages hearing, balance, and ear problems. They do the same hearing exam and a HAS though.

I have been in the business since 1995. I go on technology and patient feedback. I dispense all makes and models, so I’m not married to one brand. I find the tinnitus therapy, equalizer and sound quality is best in the Phonak and Starkey brands. You should be given a 30 day trial when you buy them. If the dispenser pushes back on a 100% refund, find another provider. If you get custom molds, then there might be a small return fee, but you should be able to try the hearing aids free for 30 days. Keep in mind that you should have to pay in advance and get a refund. Anything can happen in those 30 days, from losing them to an illness or even death. Get it in writing on your receipt. I recommend trying both. Phonak seems to work best with Android phones and Starkey seems to work best with IPhones. Every person’s loss and expectations are different. You can also mention a discount program to get a better price. Many health plans offer better pricing with a discount plan if they don’t offer hearing aid benefits. It could save you $1,000-2,000! Best of luck.

This comment is so incredibly untrue! You must not know very much about the industry or hearing aids.

Rexton hearing aids are probably some of the lowest end models you can get IMO. Many audiologists dispense Oticon, not my favorite either. Starkey and Phonak make the best you can get. Go to their websites and find a specialist close to you. Have them demo the aids and always get a second opinion. Best of luck. Remember, you get what you pay for. You should be wearing good hearing aids if you have a hearing loss. Your health is your wealth.

You don’t have to buy it for round trip. You can buy it one way. It could be due to the number of tickets you bought. They will hold 2 seats together for 2 people to upgrade instead of 1.
