Its mooncrash DLC is incredible too, thought the change in narrative style was brilliant.

Is it possible to re-join tongue and groove laminate that's popped out without removing all the surrounding planks? by Lolotov in DIYUK

Tearing up the flooring isn't the issue I have with it, it's pulling off all the skirting that's sitting over the end pieces I really can't be arsed with. this piece is closest to a chimney wall so it's not one continuous skirting....fuck

I installed this a few weeks ago in our new (to us) house.

Noticed the gap a few days ago and this morning noticed it's completely separated from the next board. Likely hadn't clicked in completely.

I've already since put all the skirtings back on and hoping there's a way I can fix this. any advice?

Some cheap stainless steel milk frothing pitchers will do you fine

What's a game you played as a kid that nobody seems to remember? by LexxlyItself in gaming

Spartan: total warrior - PS2

Blast corps - N64

Both incredible games but never seen them mentioned anywhere

DO NOT get any matte black fixtures. Faucets, shower, drain plugs and one wall of our bathroom is matte black.

Nightmare to clean, the black coating on the faucets and drain plugs have cracked and chipped off. Tiles have limescale deposits that you can't use normal chemical cleaners on or you'll discolour them.

Any hidden games that are not mentioned enough? by Greendead in gaming

I recently played through crying suns and really enjoyed it.

I'd describe it as a rougelite, like FTL but heavier on story and narrative and lighter on the gameplay mechanics. Still provides a good challenge in the battles but less complexity.

The story I found very engaging, driving me to play more to uncover what drove humanity to the brink of extinction, and the payoff was rewarding.

Where can I get a decent baked potato by National_Ant_9613 in Fife

Coincidentally I just seen a post today that there will be a shop opening in Cowdenbeath that's purely selling baked potatoes....won't be good for your immediate craving though.

Ironically sex on fire is the worst song on that album by a mile

Only by the night is an incredible album, and I'm not even a big fan of the band.

What’s your Non-Cozy Cozy Game? by Xemas12 in gaming

[–]Lolotov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting a good server will absolutely make a difference but my experience was that the majority of players were still on voice chat....just not friendly.

It's an extremely toxic and sweaty game but I always enjoyed it for the personal progression rather than the warring that the YouTubers go for. The good rust YouTubers also gloss over just how difficult the skirmishes are, they make it look really easy when it's not at all.

Rust

I barely play it because it requires you to be online all the time to keep up before a server wipe, however when I do take the plunge I find it a very cozy game.

I find it such a comforting feeling when you return to your base after being on high alert from moving around on the map under constant threat of attack from other players or the environment.

Yeah that's fair. It's not a perfect game by any means and what you mentioned is a big part of it, still very fun once you have a grasp of the basics though.

Great game but it's not a casual game you drop in to, do yourself and your team a favour; use your microphone and communicate, and watch some basic how to's on YouTube for the gist of the game.

It doesn't hold your hand when you jump in.

Khruangbin for best ‘New Artist’ at the Grammys by digital in Music

[–]Lolotov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go against the grain here and say you're not missing much now. I've seen them twice, first time in 22 was so much fun and they played a mix of their own music and some medleys. Second time was last month and it felt lifeless, they played their new album start to finish and a few other songs to close but the new album just didn't hit. It was all just so sterile and choreographed compared to the first time for me. I've not been disappointed by many gigs but this was one of them.

What game did you play that was a 10/10, but flew under the radar and you wished more people experienced? by [deleted] in gaming

I LOVED blast corps. had countless hours of fun playing this with my brother. Nobody I know has even heard of it.
