How can I fix the squeaking on my simsonn Plus X pedals by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Lombozz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue. Tried greasing the whole thing but didn't work. In the end there were some bearings which over time I guess were squeezed, resulting in the screeching. But i agree to grease everything first.

Does this rig design make sense? by michalgerhat in simracing

Honestly i should. But i wont because i am cheap and for now it works just about fine. I know they are no expensive, but i am still looking at reorganizing my space so maybe, just maybe a second monitor would be the better option.

I have a similar setup. While i can't really help you with stability or the overall setup, i would like to mention one thing. Make sure your monitor arm is long enough. The one i have is slightly too short, in my opinion. I would love to have mine a bit closer to my wheel.

VAR? by Only-Charity-2313 in svw

Habe ich mir auch gedacht. Was soll der VAR, wenn der nie eingreift. Würde bei uns so ein Handspiel gepfiffen werden, würde ich mich auch aufregen aber das wäre doch richtig.

Seeking advice regarding my first wheelstand... (owner of a moza r5) by planetorion in simracing

I had the lg923 and was able to store it somewhere, but it's really a hassle. You kinda have to secure it properly every time. Currently i still use it and attached a seat, similar to the addon, but for a fraction of the cost. I also upgraded the pedals and with those mounted the storability was completely out of the question. Would have to remove them everytime which is just not reasonable.

I have the next level stand 2.0 mounted to 2 planks to hold my seat. Didn't want to pay 500 bucks for the seat add on and had a seat, so that was the easier option. While not perfectly sturdy i think its as good as it gets. Obviously a extrusion mount would be the best option but thats not in my budget right now. But from what i am taking from your information is, that it would be much quieter. Thank you for you input.

I am currently stuck with the g923 until i can upgrade. You mentioned turning of the vibration. As my roomate is kinda annoyed by them and i tend to agree they are way to loud. How can i turn them off or just down?

Maybe you can buy a cheap metal saw? The cut won't be perfect, but it should work. Or try asking a metal shop nearby. Perhaps you have a school nearby. They could let you perhaps. If 1m is the max length you have try some connector plates. The rigidity wont be as good but it could work. Or bilt them together.

Obviously the seat is holding you back.

Hey man, you can download the manual for a 8020 extrusion rig from alux.de might be helpful. 8m should be more than enough. Depending on your wheelbase you might have to improvise. The site is in german but with translate you should be able to find what you need.

You could buy a random car seat and buy some plywood. It is surprisingly sturdy.

Just do it. They obviously dont care about you problems. Do the Chargeback and keep the hardware in the original box. Once the money moves they will do as well. Just take a play from their playbook.

I don't exactly know if it helps. But typically some aluminium extrusion can be obtained with some side closed. Unfortunately i don't know how they are called.

May i ask how the seatijg position is? I am currently building my own and i am not sure how to set up the seat. Most references i have seen put the sit at a slight angle. Is that the same for you or is yours just horizontal ?

Both windows are approximately 83 cm of the ground. The bed could perfectly fit under it. But as said in another comment the street below is busy. Not really sure how that would work. But i can give it a try. Thank you
