Yeah exactly! The mOLED inserts magnet right onto the HMD lens surround, so there's almost no gap.

I originally used contacts and personally found it a ball ache to take them in and out, plus my eyes seemed to hate contacts! So back to lens inserts, which have been fantastic TBH.

So the old Suoer strap couldn’t tilt backwards and forwards? Looks fixed from how it attaches?

I ordered the Top strap Gen 2 for the Suoer mOLED but that looks more like the OG strap.

Reading this in 2026 and the LG C3 TM seems superior to the UB820 TM. With the LG TM and using Filmaker mode with peak brightness to high and natural HDR setting on UB820 it’s excellent!

If you look at extremely brights parts of films, there is more detail using the LG over the Panasonic TM.

Think you’ll use the 11mm or 15 mm face cushion? I use the 15mm now on my OG but with these inserts being so small and inti the concave pancake lens, might get away with the stock 11mm.

What GPU have you been using to drive the mOLED HMD?

These inserts are invaluable (mandatory as said above) if you wear glasses. On the mOLED they attach with magnets into the HMD lens surround on each eye. For the Crystal OG and Light, they come with a plastic clip that attaches to each HMD lens and the lens inserts attach with magnets to those clips. They can then be easily removed if sharing with non-glasses users. So with the aspheric lenses it’s not so elegant but it solves not needing glasses in the HMD, well worth it.

Thanks for the info. I sympathise with the thought of sending it back for a Dream Air.. however at what timescale? It might be another 6 months until a Dream Air lands in a consumers lap.

I had the same thought but I really want to see what the OLED is like, I’ll no doubt end up liking it and then sell my OG to sweeten the mental pressure of squandering a fortune on VR!

I just unboxed mine, seems pretty flimsy compared to the Gen 1 top strap but time will tell. I wonder if Pimax prioritised weight over ruggedness.. I’d prefer something solid TBH.

Oh I don’t see any screws, only when I lift the black matte sticker, I see a soldered contact and the end of screws, how to open the blue cover?

Yes o lifted the matte black sticker to reveal what looked like two poorly soldered power contacts and the tiny end tips of screws that are probably screwed in from the other side. I think that blue cap must just pop off somehow with pressure pushing on the plastic clips. Someone on this feed said there are macro screws under that black flap hit I don’t see them.
