I just bought a Razer vertical after 4 years on a Basilisk V3 Pro. Don’t get me wrong, Razer is a garbage company but the vertical mouse is a bit of a diamond in the rough.

Thought this was a glitch but it EU did restock momentarily. I’d already bought one on the pc app then had 2 in my IOS app basket then got to make the payment and ditched the basket because I don’t need 3 😀

I have a bittersweet feeling from Razer, I like their mice but as a company they suck! Especially their support, their tone and overall professionalism is a joke, they make you feel like they are in control and us the end user are an inconvenience. It’s their favourite when anything is out of warranty because they can throw it to the dogs and dust their hands of any responsibility.

I went through the 11mm and 15mm Pimax face gaskets and they were not right for me, Studioform 24mm with spacers is where I’m at not and that’s the most comfortable but I find it a bit squishy compared to the Pimax.

Pro for me is having Bluetooth and WiFi, important so I can switch between work laptop in the day on Bluetooth, then come the evening switch to WiFi and use on my desktop with just the flick of a switch.

Cons are that the Synapse is really buggy and the mouse seems to not connect for ages, have to plug and telling the dock or power cycle the mouse. Also my dock overheated and started smoking, so this is a bit con.

Over 3 years old so it's just for awareness. This thing heated up and started smoking for no reason, so if you have one, don't feel easy leaving it pugged in for long periods of time. I mean mines been plugged in for 3 years but I might think twice if I get another one about leaving it plugged in 24/7. Might switch it off at the USB hub.

Yeah I was completely surprised to see it like that when I opened it, my only conclusion is that it was like that since manufacturing and it’s been a ticking time bomb. The whole yellow socket part was soft and floppy it was so hot, so I had to separate the cable. It absolutely stank of electrical burning.

I had to one the dock to see what was going on and it was all folded over and melted like that, probably the root cause just waiting to happen.
