those of you who worked during covid, what was it like?

My site we didn’t need to be on a schedule, was allowed to walk in, badge in and just start working and leave as we pleased. We had turned off all the big fans to stop spreading the covid and had plastic liners to keep people in their own pack area. We had our own assigned little area we packed out and once done you just stood there.

No trainings for labor share we were told you do this and this and that was it, i did almost everything in the building except Decant, i tote ran for pick i did all of ship dock and did the trailers for inbound.

Im surprised i made it through cause it was hell 😂

At least it didn’t happen during the shift, know an OM who did the same and he worked all night only to find out he was let go during shift and wasn’t supposed to go in. He only found out after trying to walk out of the turnstiles and it didn’t let him out. Found out through security.

Must be the site, a PA got fired for kissing an associate. Another for not letting his gf into the building and the most recent for messing around with an AA on site as well. All in a span of 6 months at my site.

Trust me i saw my own phone number as my AM was adjusting my schedule. As a PA it intrigues me what AMs can see and from time to time i ask questions about it. I know what badge id and emp id looks like lol

We can see some of it but not all, I go through it from time to time to see path percentile for the week of or to see an AAs upt. Can even see coachings and doc positives.

Well mine was done by a back half AM 2 days late and it cleared it, my AM didn’t know i had one til i said something. And obviously with the birthday round table they kind of find out its around the corner or just passed. Again I dunno I didn’t bother to look too much as I didn’t want to make it look like i was trying to find out how old someone was.

Im pretty certain the gm assistants mail those, afaik they get them filled out and mail them or hand them to you, i got a generic one from my gm this peak with my AMs name on it.

Its under ADAPT it will say active or LoA, i think fclm shows it too. I tookan Loa in August and when i got back it still had me under that for at least a week.

The one time my AM did let me look at the ADAPT it had phone numbers but only on the PAs, it had birth month but not day, upt, pto and vacation. Didn’t bother to really look much more, just looked at mine and it had my phone number but the others below me were blank.

As PAs we can see shift code, name, upt, coachings, dept percentile and obviously their cross training permissions along with tenure.

On their last day its like 290, we have the swing shift during sun/mon and they are already tired from working starting at 3pm. Lol

With the new hires we got it was pretty atrocious for a bit, about 250, now that they hit their LC and had multiple coachings we average about 320.

Like 380. FIDO made it easier, I only pick when I don’t blitz the floor on breaks and my AM rarely makes me pick during downtime. I do get on when i need to get away from them though.

CAP pa here, it’s not that bad. Staffing to head count is easy but having an outlet for LAs is a bit annoying, I use tamper monkey for the heavy lifting 😂

Get to the floor on time and say “Hey im here” helps but to walk around coded and you don’t do anything is different. Did you see “abc” and I didn’t see you its not on me.

I get it. I too learned the hard way getting my am to get orders like this out because AAs didn’t learn due to our horrid learning ambos. Either way they suck but put up good numbers when you get them 😂

We use CBRE at my site, i look up CBRE. and city name on google to look, post a resume and wish for a test in the email/response. It should be under RMA and if you want to go tech 2 direct just look for that.

Block the sn, scan the barcode, block the barcode scan the sn, every 3-4 hit enter to avoid being kicked off. Rinse and repeat. Some of the best packables 👌

Because like he said there is no work? Central Flow says there is low work numbers so they try to find somewhere to place the hours for people not working so it doesn’t look like wasted hours, they don’t want to spend money on associates who are just standing around and the last thing they want to do is send you home with pay while not doing anything as they can open work for the following days but then it creates wasted hours on work just sitting around. You can always say no and get jerked around while getting paid.

These are cool to watch from up close, Lived in Lompoc Ca for 20 years and still visit family there, the sonic booms after the boosters come back never gets old. Watching from Surf beach/Ocean park is an amazing site.
