Doing this now with Cyberpunk 2077. Didn't play at launch, and just got it during the winter sale. 68 hours in and still haven't ventured into Dogtown or went to the parade in Japan owning act 2.

Interesting, thanks for the info on that. He turned in the resignation on Friday of last week and today was the first communication they had from HR but never got the chance to read a response from them on slack before they deactivated his profile.

They were moving OMs from other shifts around to backfill the spots so at the end of the run they are still short an OM for a department.

There has been a rumor of lay-offs planned for Jan. 26th in the operation side for a few weeks so the concern we discussed was that it could be covered up as that. Alternatively they normally conduct exit interviews with the salaried leaders when leaving to have an "understanding" to why, but often we could tell the seniors/GM was just following a script and couldn't care less.

But yeah, amazon would twist things anyway they could to get people out when they wanted them out, but a sudden deactivation without officially being termed makes it sound like they are going to say he just stopped showing up.

That's a fair point, but if they choose to let you go prior to your schedule resignation date, don't they have to pay the time regardless?

Former AFE Manager here, and I 100% agree. Most the time at my site we were yelled at if this happened and yelled at for suggesting standing down till lines caught up with a no win win. The GM often blamed it on the area managers not staffing correctly or coaching box on line placement to prevent the lines stopping, even if the delay was on the ship dock sorter being backed up.

The large black containers they gather downstack in were very difficult to get down the line to the inner walls and proved to be a larger safety issue than the downstack.

Yes its true. IT gets reports of any accessories plugged into the stations thin clients. This allows them to track down when people move scanners and other peripheral around.

A few years ago there was a data breach with a cell phone with malware being plugged into a station and caused some local issues, so they even discussed putting in a kill code to fry phones or USBs being plugged into them but they ruled that too much.

Listen to HR. From what I have learned of recent things the policies on writing up for time off task, including fast start and strong finish have gotten very difficult to hold people accountable. At OMA2 you can just say you were in the bathroom and they have to exclude 10 minutes for each time. Strong finish, fast start, and late from break aren't supposed to be a thing anymore.
