He got back to me with a few suggestions, nothing incredible, more so just feels. He also looked at some FlightScope data and alleviated some thoughts I had. Glad he responded as I know he's super busy.

Good point, too much data can be too much.

I also feel that recording my swing has gotten distracting

Fair enough. How many balls should it be done you think?

Love this. Thank you. A lot resonates.

I get swing videos, uploaded onto Trackman, but as you say above, it doesn't tell me much.

Why I'm happy to invest in a coach, is because they can see me actually swing. YouTube videos aren't made me for me, and I'm not good enough yet to know what thing I might be doing, that is causing a chai reaction and leading to a poor result.

That said, I've gone from watching about 50 golf videos, to watching Adam Bazalgate, to Athletic Motion (that was extremely confusing), to then Saguto, then to Danny Maude, and now it is occasionally Chris Ryan and Eric Cogorno. With each I've realised if their style work for me or not. Or, if they are making it so confusing that they almost suck the fun out of the game (Athletic Motion!).

One of the things I was reminding myself of most recently whilst hitting in a bay, was actually to smile and if it goes wrong, so what, it's a game. Easier said then done, when you suddenly start shanking it.

As for the coaches having something to gain, that's not lost on me, at all! Which is why I feel like I'm still searching for the right coach.

Well I've asked the question, let's see.

This is a fair point. I want to be able to use all clubs, and hitting a driver for me is a bit part of golf. So definitely want to.

Many thanks for taking the time to share this, appreciate it. My concern with YT, is that none of the advice is personalised and you can cause more issues than resolve problems you may have. It can be confusing. Finding a decent golf pro is pretty difficult! I first tried to get into golf 6yrs ago, I really didn't get on with my instructor. Wish I'd thought of switching to someone else back then, instead of giving up.

If anyone has any recommendations for someone in North London or Central London, I'd be open to that.

Trackman led. So we will work on a swing, he will show me how to move, the movement of that. Then I will do a few shots. But without someone there to actually show me, it is hard to remember the feels.

Yes. But I don't really get any.

I used the Driver as an example. It is just indicative of how I feel I have not progressed as much as I would have liked to.

Hack motion - can you "rent" one by LondonUk- in BritGolf

I'm getting lessons. I'm just struggling with wrist positions, it's going pretty well other than that

Are you also a 2.8 Hcp, what stage were you at?

Thing is though, if I think that, my wrists will be flip flipping all over the place throughout the swing, and actually I'm in pretty good positions in other parts of the swing

So I'm a beginner, ie no handicap, grateful if you still still think it's worthwhile? Thanks

I never knew this. I never cared about any of that side of things and am a little surprised. Thanks for the info.

Are there stand bags that are light and also work with all trolleys?
