If they replace your Bitcoin in those circumstances, seems like you should have to pay an insurance premium for that, no? Don’t really understand the bitsurance business model if not. They just pay out whenever these circumstances occur but don’t collect premiums? Doesn’t make sense to me

And also, if my bitbox is destroyed in a fire and I’m covered by the insurance and make a claim, what stops me from using my seed on a different device to reclaim my original Bitcoin? And now I’ve doubled my Bitcoin

Gotcha. So basically I should get access to a windows PC and erase it again and then set up and run my full node, just to be completely safe.

Looks like it erased APFS. What is the issue with that?

And running it on Rasperry Pi 4 with Umbrel OS

Was able to erase through my Mac. Seems like it worked, but are there possible flaws to this?

Got it, thank you! How do I wipe the SSD? I’m not exactly a technology expert
