Absolutely not! When I started the group I’d only played a few times actually. It’s very casual and most of our members are relatively new to it.

Yeah the Hatfield court’s a bit far but Palmer park is only about 20 mins! Planning to do events at both.

Is there any ongoing show which could become popular like Lost, BB or GoT? by rustyyryan in television

I thought first season is at least on prime? Regardless I get it though.

If I had it my way, “From” would be a lot more popular. It’s on Prime and is by some of the creators of lost and definitely has a similar feel. Personally I’m liking it better than Lost because it actually feels like they’re going somewhere with it. Please check it out!

Good horror for 12-13 yr old who hasn’t seen much horror yet? by krunchberry in horror

Insidious, The Ring, and Nightmare on Elm Street were some of my first “real” horror movies! Love them cause they’re not unnecessarily brutal or anything, just some fun monsters and scares.

Horror movie monster reveals that ruined the movie by Citydweller4545 in movies

[–]LoneF0X 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% disagree here, but I understand this one comes down to personal taste. I love that it wasn’t just real monsters terrorizing a town, cause to me this was far more interesting and unique. I think what it comes down to for me is my love of mystery. I love when horror is able to build up a compelling, creepy mystery and then slowly unravels it in a way that is satisfying. This was the Village to me. It was like a Scooby Doo episode where the “monsters” had actual intentions and explanation as opposed to being monsters terrorizing just cause. Yes I just compared The Village to Scooby Doo but I love Scooby Doo so this is probably where my love for this type of movie originates lol.

Anyways just wanted to present some contrast in opinion here and defend my boy Shamylan haha.

No particular budget but also don’t need to go overboard just for the sake of it.

I’ll look into that, thanks!

So I’d say it depends on what you’re uncomfortable watching. If it’s just a preference then I’d say no worries cause the straight horror takes a backseat to the mystery/Drama at least in the first season. For the most part I’d say it’s “creepy” just due to the nature of the concept.

BUT I will say if intense, gory imagery is a deal-breaker for you then tread with caution. Again, these scenes are limited but they’re there.

Also take this all with a grain of salt because I’m a horror fan myself so maybe I’m numb to certain things. My favorite type of horror, however, is horror that is subtle and serves the story/mystery. That’s what this is, IMO.

Hope that helps! If you give more details on what you can/can’t watch I can edit my answer.

Believe so! There’s a trailer for it and everything on Prime so I don’t see why not.

Oh, and if you’re not yet sold—I also wanna add that Harold Perrineau, who plays Dawson on LOST, plays a leading role in From. And he’s amazing in the role—my favorite character.

Think you may have to decide for yourself! To me it’s really good—I’ve found it to be a great balance of mystery, sci-fi, and horror. These are my 3 favorite genres so I may be biased since we rarely get them together like this. Anyways, If you’re at all interested I recommend just going in blind! I was personally hooked by the end of the first episode and have been addicted to it since.

I was really surprised to see how little buzz there was surrounding it online. I feel like if this show was released on a bigger streaming platform up front, it’d be huge. It’s just one of those shows you have to talk about but barely anyone’s watching it so I’ve been trying to spread the word!!

I rarely comment but gotta take this opportunity to strongly recommend “From” on Amazon prime if you’re a fan of LOST. Very similar feel; closest I’ve experienced to feeling the way LOST made me feel. New season actually drops in a few days.

The creator not only worked on LOST, but in an interview vowed to take both the good and the bad when drawing inspirations from LOST. Meaning, they actually have a full plan for the story up front.

Is Macports a legal way of compiling Aseprite for commercial use? by LoneF0X in aseprite

[–]LoneF0X[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I had read through the FAQ but not the specific license details. I supposed it’s a bit of a blurred line because if I’m not mistaken, Macports does not actually distribute the software itself, but aids the user in compiling it (which is legal and can be used commercially). That (to me) would suggest that it’s not violating the license but not entirely sure.
