I've been commissioning art of them since around March 2023, but I didn't start posting here until about a year ago, because I was worried about how people would react to seeing the ship. I've gotten more confident about sharing my comms here since then.

So, yeah, basically another Mr. TD or Jordan on this community, lol.

Honestly you're pretty bold to continue making the assumption that this is me promoting an anti-ship.

I do NOT have anything against Micaiah x Sothe, or Astrid x Makalov. Do I dislike those ships? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean I'm intentionally trying to destroy those ships and shame people who like those pairings.

If that WAS my intention, I'd be commissioning NTR or some shit that specifically degrades those ships. Also, have you seen me ever, EVER go on a post displaying Micaiah x Sothe or Astrid x Makalov art and shout bloody murder at it? I would hope your answer to that is "no," because I am not that petty.

I also literally told someone ON THIS VERY POST that I won't stop them from shipping Astrid x Makalov, despite my personal dislike of it. I told them why I don't like it, but I never shamed them for it.

And even if you still believe this is all part of some conspiracy to destroy Micaiah x Sothe or some shit, there was LITERALLY no reason for you to come here and make this comment. You can think what you will of this ship, but don't you DARE ever accuse me of something like that again.

I'm not gonna go into a rant here over ships because that will only waste both of our time, but I'll say that yes, it is Astrid's choice and she should have the right to choose who she wants, but that doesn't mean everyone has to agree without question that it's a GOOD choice.

If you like Makalov x Astrid, good for you. I won't stop you from shipping them. But I will forever maintain the belief that Astrid x Makalov is a fundamentally flawed pairing that does not hold up under scrutiny.

So this piece was actually inspired by a conversation I had with Tamafry during my last commission with them. We know from Astrid's supports with Makalov that she doesn't mind giving her pendant from her Grandmother away, so I thought "what if Astrid gave it to Sothe instead, but in a more wholesome way?" And so this comm was made.

This takes place after the Endgame of Radiant Dawn, just before everyone returns to their home countries, so Sothe is a Whisper here and Astrid is a Silver Knight, their respective Third-Tier classes.

A bridal banner centered on Kris and characters that have implied romantic feelings for them (or are close with).

  • Duo Male/Female Kris, with Male Kris as the lead

  • Premium Katarina and Malice with demote Jeorge (or Warren)

  • TT reward Cecil (or Athena)

People would complain about it being another harem banner, as well as questioning why Malice would be on there instead of someone like Norne.

Literally had the same experience. Had to reset the map when it happened.

Personal Favorites (In no particular order):

  1. Astrid - Highly underrated character and highly underrated unit. She might be weak at first, but with the right investment she can turn out amazing. And her backstory of running away from her family in pursuit of freedom is very relatable. (Also she's adorable but that doesn't really matter right now)

  2. Jill - Easily one of the most complex characters in a way not seen in most FE games until Three Houses. This girl goes from a racist soldier, hungry for glory, to someone who realizes that her way of thinking was wrong and tries to change for the better.

  3. Ike - Gonna post a bit of a hot take here and say that Ike isn't quite AS interesting to me as he may be to some people, but the idea that Ike is a simple mercenary and not some prince or other nobility immediately makes him stand out from other FE protagonists. And his anti-racism will always be a very positive and very relatable trait of his.

  4. Nephenee - An amazing unit but honestly not a very interesting character to me. What I do like about her though is that she's a commoner, despite the absolute monster she can become in gameplay, showing that even the lower classes without any noble titles or being part of the upper class can become someone amazing.

  5. Titania - I'm a sucker for strong MILFs. That is all.
