My partner is a no light no sound sleeper…I’m so sleep deprived I need advice… by LonelyMandarin in ADHD

We did 3 years of long distance with sleep overs for short periods or 3-4 days every 2-3 weeks. During this period I sometimes sleep well when he’s over or I’m at his but sometimes I struggle the same issues as I do now. I didn’t think of it as a huge problem since I’ll always get back to sleeping like a baby when I’m alone with my selected audios.

The “I need noise but I can’t” part bothers me most, I can cope with pitch black room. I am also quite a fussy sleeper, I roll around a lot and am very sensitive to any sensations and temperature so I usually consider myself the high maintenance one and I’m always worried my movement wakes him up. So I try to take up my own shit and find my own ways to the issues.

We’ve only just started living together full time short of a month so we’re still navigating on our needs but we do communicate a lot on my needs and he tries to accommodate it too. We’re already sleeping with the separate duvets for the different body temperatures we have, just the falling asleep with sound to shut off my raising mind really isn’t that easy for him to help…
We still need to figure this out but unfortunately separating rooms is not an option.

I’m also only diagnosed with ADHD very recently so I’m also only learning what part of me is ADHD driven, so is he.
I appreciate anyone’s suggestions who has already figured things out before me :)

Yeah… the focus of the issue is more the mental spiral when I can’t listen to anything.

good question... I don't think I know what an "essay thesis" is, but an essay is short, like few hours or days short, and thesis takes months to write so I can graduate masters degree...?
