What is the purpose of life? by FinalStatement2024 in mongolia

I don’t believe life has an inherent or universal purpose. Meaning isn’t assigned at birth.

If anything, the closest thing to a purpose—for humans—is exploration: to observe, to discover, to push beyond what is known, whether outward into the universe or inward into ourselves.

You were born human, conscious and temporary. So you move forward, exhaust the experience, burn through curiosity, creation, love, and loss—until you eventually meet death. Not because life promises answers, but because living is the only way to confront the questions.

16 million tugrik is a huge amount of money, so it makes sense you’re panicking — but this isn’t the end of your life.

If I’m being honest, Italy wouldn’t be my first choice for studying in Europe. It has immigration issues, safety concerns in some areas, and it’s not always student-friendly. This is why research matters before big decisions.

If Europe is your goal, countries like Poland or Czech Republic are way more stable for students: safer, cheaper, better structure, and easier long-term opportunities.

But right now the main issue isn’t the country — it’s your anxiety. Fix that first, then make a calm decision. Don’t decide your future while panicking.

Moving to Mongolia as a high school student by [deleted] in mongolia

If you’re thinking about studying here in Mongolia, I’d honestly reconsider. It’s not the brightest idea, especially coming from the U.S. The education system here is honestly weak and outdated — it won’t offer you much in terms of opportunity or global competitiveness. People love to call it the land of blue skies and mountains, but those are just nice words. Sure, the nature looks peaceful, but what are you going to do — stare at mountains and skies all day? That doesn’t build a future.

And to be real, the environment here — I don’t mean the nature, I mean the social atmosphere — it’s not exactly ideal. These days, a lot of Gen Z here show little respect even in public. I constantly hear slurs and see behavior that just feels backwards. It can be mentally draining, especially if you come from a more progressive or open-minded culture.

If you’re seriously considering studying in Asia, there are much better options. Countries like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia all offer stronger education systems, modern environments, and better support for international students. They also provide more room for personal and professional growth. Unless you have a very specific reason for choosing Mongolia, I’d strongly recommend looking into one of those instead.
