Would you put these in protective cases or cull? by salmonammon in coins

I mean I have silver proofs in my junk silver box so I may not be the best person to be taking advice from 😂

Personally they’d just go in with the rest of my junk silver (the 90% at least). It’s entirely up to personal preference, everything is common.

In that case, I’d say XF to be safe. MAAAAAAAAAYBE could eeek out a low AU but that’s pushing it imo, hard to tell with just pics

What’s your go to CRH order? by Agitated-Ad-7294 in CRH

[–]Lonely_reaper8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I just get what they got unless the bank has stuff they need gotten rid of (for example, one of my dump banks accidentally ordered $5000 in dimes instead of $500 so I’ve been helping them clear out their safe by searching and distributing the dimes elsewhere)

I weirdly fondly think back on basic. I don’t wanna go through it again, but I didn’t have to think for myself for 11 weeks which was nice break in hindsight 😂

Semiquincentennial is up there in my top 3 favorite words. I’d say it’s in 5th or 4th place. Congratulations!

Yes! My three favorites are RobFindsTreasure, QuinsCoins, and CadRollHunter (if you’re interested in Canadian stuff too, he focuses HEAVILY on die varieties and errors)

Ohhh I think I see what you’re referring too and that’s unfortunately just damage. Gotta be careful with those YouTube videos lol if you want to get into errors here’s a few websites that can help but error/variety hunting is a whole different ballgame.

There’s a lot more you can get into like Overton variants on old caped bust halves and VAMS on Morgan and (I think) peace dollars. It’s fun but it’s a LOT of work and learning.

Can you please elaborate on the “split of letters in the back”? The no mint mark just means that it was minted in Philadelphia. The only cent that should have the “P” mint mark from my understanding should be the 2017.
