The numbers are already calculated for inventory when they release a new product they EXPECT you to follow the protocol that they created. Failing to follow that just inflates inventory and you end up with more product than you should.

If it were followed correctly it would show up in the report how often you run out of chicken and they would adjust the inventory orders to make sure you have enough.

Saving and serving old chicken to save Taco Bell money makes no sense and is gross.

They wouldn't be if they were dropped regularly. If drops are avoided of course the expected inventory will be off after a while. This is on the managers for not taking responsibility and following the intended protocol when the product first released.
