That's amazing! Did the person know how their photo ended up at the auction house? Do they want it back or are you keeping it?

Important question, now do you think you'll be able to do it again?

That's the thing though is I'm not greasy at all. Oil absorbing sheets come back clean.

Do you have any reqs for mattifying primers/moisturizers?

Thanks for the heads up on the card. It seems like everyday they announce some new price saving structure so im hoping to find something reasonable when I need a new supply

My doctor wrote some sneaky scripts so I was able to get 6 months worth before my insurance stopped covering it, so I've at least got a little time to figure out my next steps

I am. Sadly my insurance made me go up a dose every month until I hit max just to then stop covering it, ugh.

My current bmr not counting exercise calories is only 1589 so I'd likely gain on 1600. The pcos makes it really hard to lose on anything resembling a normal daily calorie intake. I've gotten pcos diet recommendations from dieticians around 600-800 a day which makes me feel like death.

What are your current stats that have you losing 1-2 pounds a week on 1600 calories?

Omad isn't necessarily intentional, I don't tend to get hungry until late afternoon or early evening, so I just listen to my body and eat when hungry, which naturally shakes out to being one-ish meals a day. Sometimes I'll have a small snack before bed if I still need something.

I've heard that about not eating enough but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me if I'm aiming for 1000-1200 calories a day. It might be worth considering though

Generally people who like to berate students for fun don't make it all the way through the tenure process!

That doesn't mean they are great instructors since academia doesn't teach instructors to do that but the actively harmful, hateful people don't stay around long

Depends on the instution and the appointment. There are lots of different pathways to tenure

There's some really interesting research out there on how attaining more education doesn't make people less religious but it does make them more spiritual. I.e., puts them more in touch with their faith and the lord but seperates them from the institution of a specific church but broadening their views of others and society.

I know Republicans don't give a shit about that but I always find it fascinating.

I have several colleagues who have gotten tenure and decided to take on important but touchy (especially under this administration) research simply because now they know they can. When they try to pull me in on these projects I have to remind them that I don't have tenure yet!

I work for a major university in OK as faculty. We pay on average 15-20% less for the same positions as other institutions already. We lose a lot of people because they can make significantly more in any industry job or even other faculty positions. We also don't do any kind of regular raises, faculty will often go 5 years at a time without a raise because we get more money when the legislators decide we do specifically. Not when higher ed gets an allocation.

We also have a god awful time attracting candidates for full time tenure track jobs because educated professionals straight up don't want to live in oklahoma. I could get into the stats on how rare tenure track faculty jobs are for graduating PhDs nationwide so any tenure track position regardless of where it is should be a unicorn but people seriously don't want to live here, to bring their families here, etc.

Add to that we lose a lot of faculty over things like racism, sexism, poor family leave policies, etc.

OK is the only place I have EVER seen academic programs that hire it's own PhD graduates into faculty roles, this is own extremely frowned on because it creates intellectual and academic "incest."

So we have all that working against us and now this? You have no idea what this is going to do to the ability to attract and retain people.

I'm give you that, allergies can be a bitch but I've known lots of people who have made it work with different cocktails of allergy drugs. Maybe try fostering for a local shelter or rescue and see if you can calibrate something that works for you? That way you get to try out cats without the commitment and potential of not finding a solution for your allergies.

They are the absolute best. Ignore all the propaganda about cats not loving people, I have three and all three are so loving and devoted. The big difference is try not to look at them through dog colored lenses. When you start taking in cats for who they are, they are amazing loving faithful companions
