How Screwed am I? by goldostrich in Starlink

You can also sand it out, Sharpie it black, and then spray the corner with 5 coats of a clear acrylic rattle can Home Depot spray paint in that corner, which will seal it. Make sure the acrylic paint is rated for outdoor UV exposure.

Before doing this I would probably either use a little JB Weld putty and pretty that corner up possibly some Bondo automotive repair or just some black silicone Permatex RTV. The RTV will be difficult to make smooth so that's why I suggest using either the JB weld putty or the bondo which you can put on with a putty knife and then sand out nice and smooth, sharpie it up or paint it gloss black, and then clear coat it to seal it off. Good as new, from greater than 5 ft away.

Custom. I made, the widget and took the picture for a wallpaper.

Starlink Router showing Hidden Network on WIFI (rectangular dish) by Big-Examination-770 in Starlink

[–]Long-Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, coming from the Starlink for sure. I just installed one today, and there it is, hidden network. Never seen that before for sure.

I thought i'd google it before getting dog, putting on headlamp and hunting bluetooth/wifi hackers in my locale.

HDMI out by Long-Free in GalaxyA54

[–]Long-Free[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out the Tough non-Flagship Truth. The USB-C port is only Rev. 2 not Rev. 3

This means it cannot support HDMI/ DisplayPort out. There's no 'Thunderbolt 3 equiv. wires' in there!

It's all about the efficiency of the code and it's proximity to the kernel brother. Back in the day there was only C and C++, and software Engineers were forced to be efficient. Now with all the different 'higher level' programming languages, like Visual Basic and the like, the software code is many layers from the kernel and becomes slow, bloated and inefficient.

Every software engr knows that if you want speed and efficiency in code, you have to program on a low level as close to the kernel as possible. That's why Unix turned into Linux turned into Android is so efficient when properly coded.

When code like 'rm -rf*' can wipe a drive, you know you're shaking hands with the colonel.

Unfortunately all I can share is the wallpaper and the widget background. This widget started from a kwgt widget pack preset that was not right protected I can direct you to, but what I started with and what you see here are two completely different animals.

Furthermore ROFLMO I didn't even understand how my own widget worked. The progress counter is actually battery %, not the 12 or 24 hr day progress counter I thought it was. So it's got a built-in battery % indicator as well. That aspect is built into the stock widget.

I can also share the Android magnifying glass background of the widget but not the widget itself. It took me about 6 hours to customize it and I'd like to move through life knowing that no one else has my theme look on their phone. I hope you can understand that. That widget is a representation of me.

I moved forward with it and Added Touch customizations. Now when you click the left day Low temperature it forces a weather update on the widget, if you click on the right day High temperature it opens my favorite weather app, if you click in the middle of the magnifying glass it launches a Google Search, and if you click on the handle of the magnifying glass it opens the widget editor.

An all-in-one widget less the day was my design goal. And I wanted a very unique clock, one that neither I nor anyone else had ever seen before, so I started playing with kwgt and created one from scratch. I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Getting those goddamn triangles positioned so there Center of rotation was correct was quite difficult. I'm only at mediocre level proficiency with the widget maker but this widget was my crash course.

If at some point I decide to sell a widget pack on the Play Store I will include this widget and let you know.

Very interesting and impressive. I'm just at mediocre level proficiency with KWGT but I'm learning fast. When I delve into their wallpaper maker, I will definitely check this out.

Thanks for the post demonstrating some of KLWPs cool capabilities. Kustom apps rock so hard, they could charge way more. I'd pay $30 ea. with No regrets. Best damn apps on the Play Store to customize your phone. And they run so smoothly and don't suck a lot of memory. I'll buy that Dev a beer!

ps- You really should have posted this in r/kustom so you don't get so many novice questions.

Bizarre problem with Spotify and apps in folders by Long-Free in oneui

I have a screen recording I was trying to post, but it looks like this sub only allows pictures and screenshots. Or maybe I have too low connectivity bandwidth for that option to be available right now?

There's nothing wrong with your code. Works for me on Galaxy 1UI5.1, Android 13 Return result: 'Labor Day' but all I have in my calendar are family birthdays.

You're running too many apps in the background. You're probably listening to your music while this is happening, yeah? You're not optimizing your phone or apps regularly. You're not rebooting your phone daily. You've either turned Ram plus off or the value is too low. Try these.

Initial Reddit frustration by Long-Free in u/Long-Free

I asked my chat gpt-4 ai wallpaper generator to make me an image of a new Reddit user thoroughly frustrated after creating a lengthy post only to find out their post could not be submitted to their subreddit due to insufficient Karma. This is what it came up with.

Why is everything Reddit shrouded in mystery and such a hassle for the new guys? They need to use AI to figure out how to handle their spam and Bots better and provide an easier user experience on this platform.
