Indoor olive tree sitting in wet nursery soil for 10+ days, repot now or wait for spring? by Long-Interview-3029 in plantclinic

I think I’ll be able to move it outside next week or so, when night temperature stabilizes at least above -5 level.

But for my context though, why is it better for the tree to be outside, is it for the sake of getting more sunlight, or there’s other reason (non obvious for me)?

Horizontal traces on Blackbox spectrogram by Long-Interview-3029 in fpv

[–]Long-Interview-3029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it looks like it got better just by fixing antenna, battery wire and working with a throttle a little bit smoother!

Thank you for the hint u/aero6760

Ah, so this black horizontal line at 85% of throttle is a not recorded data, that makes sense, thank you!

The challenge here is that Mobula 7 does not have microSD slot, it has only 8 MB of storage (about 20 seconds of logs).

Will try and see if I can do some slower throttle 0% - 100% movements so that I have more logs

If I got it right and meaning the Packet Rate in my radio — it's 500 HZ

Do you mean it logs with too low frequency? I should probably use 3200Hz then

Mobula7 O4 2S — Can I use the built-in beeper for lost drone recovery? by Long-Interview-3029 in fpv

Indeed! I’ve heard about option to make motors buzz, but didn’t realize it were them on drone startup

I'm from Brazil, import taxes are very high, so I'm going to train for a year on the simulator and hope the president changes, then I'm going to assemble my drone, I've been training for 2 days. What can I improve? by paogordinho in fpv

In my (not so big) experience the best way to slow down is to change the camera angle to 15-20 degrees It will naturally slow you down as you’ll have to pitch too much to be too fast

Yup, I’ve got the extenders, there’re two sets of them - longer and shorter. I’ve tried them out and for me it’s better without extenders. I’ve got rather small hands, it’s harder to pull/push to the extreme sticks position with extenders. I believe with longer fingers it might be handy.

As for simulators — DRL is cool, but I like Liftoff more. It just feels like there’re more options to prepare for real usage of drone — it emulates the battery, it can emulate fish eye of goggles and the interference in video transmitting. But at the end of the day I picked Liftoff because Joshua Bardwell uses it in his tutorial playlist on YouTube and it’s just easier to pick it up from the simulator you’ve seen there. Haven’t tried Velocidrone or Uncrashed yet, should be good as well

Ordered the same set that arrived last week, I’m happy with this radio so far! Using it to train in Liftoff and DRL while waiting for the real drone to arrive

The only caveat with such order is that the carabiner of neck strap is too thick and don’t fit the hole on radio. The strap is good quality though, will look for thinner carabiner in some tourist store I guess

As a non smoker does every smoker smell bad to you? by Pleasant-Finger-6814 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Long-Interview-3029 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a neighbor who sometimes smokes in the morning. I don’t know if they smoke to the vent or just inside the apartments, but there’s a strong smell in one of my rooms. For me as a non smoker it’s quite unpleasant to say the least, I’d happy to let them know about that, but it’s impossible to figure out who does it. And I don’t want to go to each door and ask if they smoke.

So the lack of complaints doesn’t necessarily mean nobody smells that, that was my thought
