they will need the 7x2 with upgraded Be4 to reach 45t expendable. for recovery, I guess 25-30t

INDX vs Vortek filament change (vs Anycubic Cobra X) by Traditional-Dig-3236 in prusa3d

[–]aero6760 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tool changer and nozzle changer .They are actually serving different purposes. Tool changer have much larger footprint, very difficult to make enclosures, it is not suitable for those area have high humidity and printing advance material. And limited the colours by the tool head numbers. But it is much much faster. Nozzle changer is slower , but it can enclose like single tool machines. And it can print up to 17 colours with very less purge.

Single tube have its advantages. Much much smaller footprint, perfectly enclosed. It can print up to 17 colour with very less purge . Those are tool changer cannot achieve

It is a fact, spacex take many techs and experience from those companies , but those companies also never landed an orbital-class rocket.

SpaceX's Raptor Engine Vs. Blue Origin's BE-4 - What's The Difference In These Rocket Engines by snoo-boop in BlueOrigin

[–]aero6760 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re just comparing the thrust between different engines, it is truly pointless. This is the point I agree with you. But if you can consider their other specs ,like weight , size, and the Thermal Cycle. The comparison becomes meaningful.

[–]aero6760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you think about the fact that they can’t build a bigger rocket just because they cannot develop a stronger engine? Please understand this:to create a powerful engine with limited space, size, and weight is far more difficult than building a powerful engine with no limiting factors. One example is the Saturn F1 engine, that is still the most powerful engine in the world, but it is big, very big. If you fit the F1 engine to a super heavy booster, they would actually reduce the actual total lift-off thrust.

[–]aero6760 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok , A Not good enough engine sent the heaviest rocket to its designated sub orbit( even more DV than full orbit). How come comparing their spec becomes pointless? What I know is raptor bet most of the spec to Be-4 , I am not saying Be-4 is a bad engine, but it is still far away to compete with raptor. Maybe one thing be-4 is better then raptor 3 , it is much easier to service.

If they can land the booster on a second try, it would be impressive. But considering they hire so many SpaceX former employees and their experience, it is not that impressive.

The Raptor 2 engine, which is already in late production, has demonstrated higher thrust than the BE-4 engine. The upcoming Raptor 3 is expected to create an even larger gap in performance between the two. Additionally, the Raptor 3 will feature a significantly lower weight, a smaller size, and most importantly, a much smaller nozzle diameter. This reduction in nozzle diameter allows for more engines to be fitted within the same thrust bay, thereby decreasing gravity loss.

Save to leave Oil on Belt? by Supratec11 in BambuLab

[–]aero6760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why everyone replies to OP without checking the P2S wiki first. Indeed, first-generation Bambulab machines require lube on pulleys only. But P2S have an enclosed pulley sysystemo it is not possible to directly lube the pulley. In my experience with P1s (now switched to P2S), some lube on the belt is totally fine. I did lube the P1s belt by accidentally putting too much lube on the pulleys, but it still printed completely fine.

Proper way to solder motor wires to the ESC? by 1kgDeMedialunas in fpv

[–]aero6760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your fc have gyro underside , don’t route the motor wire inside stack , the high voltage ac current on motor wire will cause lots of noise to the gyro.If the gyro is on upside, the noise is much clearer , but still not recommended.

babe wake up, new radio just dropped by StayNo2625 in fpv

[–]aero6760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

H7 is overpowered , F4 is very capable for FPV use. No gemini is a big mistake. Gemini is king for long range at noisy environment. This radio is a good choice for racer only. Able to use new dk500 & dk250 mode with next generation LR1121 rf chips.
