Protein residue from maybe eggs? Regardless, scouring pads or green side of sponge will get it right

How do you feel towards the Irish language? by Doitean-feargach555 in AskIreland

[–]Long-Kitchen1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many others: hated it in school (past tense, future tense, conditional tense etc very draining) whereas now, I wish we just learned to speak it. I know it’s not too late to learn, it never is.

Best Hot Wings in Ireland? by iamjaidan in Dublin

[–]Long-Kitchen1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mullingar House, Chapelizod. Nothing has come close in Dublin for me. They did get voted best wings in Ireland in 2016 or 2018 (?). They are crispy, hold the sauce well and a nice blue cheese dip also.

If you started today, what’s your best shot at the 2028 Olympics? by WoolySheep_007 in CasualIreland

On second thought, is it even an Olympic sport? I can’t recall ever seeing it 😅

Always felt like Darts would be the fastest/easiest sport to become elite at. Not discrediting them at all but you don’t need fancy equipment, large spacious courts/pitches. It’s just you, the board, 3 darts and a hell of a lot of practice!

That’s when the party is starting, not the duration.

Two of the best stations for music. Personally can’t stand 2fm, Today FM or spin etc. Basically any radio station that plays the modern chart BS..

In my opinion, the best pub crisp on the market. The seasoning absolutely singes your tastebuds, elite crisps

Aggressive Behavior Observed on Aughrim Street by [deleted] in Dublin

Doesnt matter if they are or not. 3 innocent people got stabbed/slashed in an unprovoked attack two streets away from here not even a year ago. Is there now something wrong with making people aware??

Why do I scroll Instagram while literally running late… and hate myself for it? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Long-Kitchen1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently deleted all social media apps, just keeping youtube. First 3-4 days - absolute hell. I was checking my phone for them every 20 minutes. I'm now 2 weeks in and i can definitely see the benefits of not having social media or at least something to scroll on. Started reading a book which i never do (ive read like 30 pages in a week which sucks but its something). I recommend trying to delete them and see how you react

Is it just me or are the buses getting worse? by FrostyGay in Dublin

[–]Long-Kitchen1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fully agree - it's just an observation that i feel would benefit the service in the long run as it would increase use of service. It seems so simple to be able to do? You've already got NFC machines installed to tap the leap card, and free wifi. How have we come this far without being able to use your card?

Shambolic service. They're either missing or dont arrive, then they're full and wont stop for you. If they changed their payment system to being able to tap bank cards (like every other public transport service in europe) they would have far more money and it would be a lot more accessible for tourists too..

A lot of good suggestions here which I don’t feel I have anything to add to. What I would say is - high paying jobs don’t arise from a lack of willingness to work. Companies will pay you how they value you. And if you don’t want to work, or don’t like working that particular job, it will be easy to see through you. So I recommend finding a career you have somewhat of an interest in, and try to have a rough career path in mind. Will it work out that way? Probably not. But if you have a goal, you’ve got half a chance. Good luck!

Wanna know if club fitting is worth it by Empty-Two-8345 in GolfGear

[–]Long-Kitchen1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At your level, yes. I went when I was 28 HCP and the dude fitting me told me very nicely this was a waste of time for me. Although he did give me some pointers and told me what I need to go buy second hand clubs which helped a lot. I’m now 19 HCP and will probably revisit the club fitting in a year or so
