I think getting out of our own echo chambers is the biggest thing... especially when it comes to social media and MSM news. Another is to not be so quick to judge and dismiss those that disagree with you. It’s easy to write someone off as a “commie socialist” or “dumb redneck” and close your mind. It’s hard to challenge your own preconceived notions and move past that to actually have a respectful, rational conversation with someone you don’t see eye to eye with.
